[Closed] What should I export to in Movies on DVD 8
Hi fellow forum members. I'm a beta tester of Windows 7 RC2 Build 7100. So I have found out that my burner is not supported by Magix Movies on DVD 8 in this beta version of Win7. But sadly, I have used many hours of editing my euro road trip

    RE: connection of camcorder
I don't know what sort of cord you have, but if you have a DV-camera, you need a Firewire (IEEE1394) cord for the transferring. You don't tell us which program you use.

RE: [Closed] How can I get the maximun resolution from a SONY Digital 8? It has 1394 fire wire but resolution is poor when the video is Imported
Hi, Digital capture of DV material via FireWire wouldn't really lead to any quality loss. Maybe what you perceive as low quality is just the way the material is displayed in the preview mode of the program. The result will probably be fine. You

    RE: Hitachi DVD+HDD camera
Hi there, If you're camera is a DVD cam, then that's exactly how the import would work. Why would you want it to be any other way?  :-) The DV/HDV capturing is for tape-based cameras. While there's nothing wrong with cameras based on this

RE: [Closed] Why won't Movie Edit Pro 14 recognize my DV Camcorder? Windows Movie maker will.
Hi again, Maybe right now you just need to work around the problem to meet your deadline. However, in the long run, if you want to keep working with this camera, you won't really get around a FireWire controller and cable. It's not expensive

Hi, What Sony model is it exactly and how do you connect it to the computer? Have you tried both the DV AVI and the straight to MPEG-2 capture options in the program?

    RE: need color!!!
Hi, How exactly are you importing? Are you connecting the camera via FireWire/IEEE 1394 and using the DV capture option in the program or are you possibly connecting the analog outputs of the camera to some kind of analog capture hardware? Just

RE: my captured video is jerky or running faster
Thanks for the additional info. Sounds like you might be dropping frames during the capturing process. Pay attention to the dropped frame counter and see whether you can confirm this. Regardless of whether it is actually counting dropped frames

RE: [Closed] How do I import video from my hdv camcorder ?
Hi, Depends on what version of Movie Edit Pro you're using. MEP supports HDV starting in version 12 or in 11 Plus (UK). It's not supported in the regular 11 or in any older versions. If you do have an up-to-date program version, this is what

Hi, What exactly are you capturing and how? Is this a DV/HDV capture? Is this an analog capture? What frame rate are you capturing at? Something like this could be the result of frames being dropped during the capturing process or some frame

RE: [Closed] Why can I no longer export HD back to my camera? MEP14
I see. Really seems to be some driver issue then. Naturally, rolling back the Windows update installation comes to mind, but that isn't really a very good solution either. You should keep of with Microsoft's Windows updates in the long run. Maybe,

RE: [Closed] How do I record a DV it won't let me?
Hi, Try updating your FireWire driver or even installing a new, decent FireWire controller (e.g. Texas Instruments). From my experience, this can make a difference as far as DV capture is concerned. Other than that, maybe Magix support can help.

Hi there, If it worked before, using the same setup, it would be reasonable to assume that you could get it to work again. What I would recommend: Try updating your mainboard chipset drivers and/or your FireWire controller drivers. Possibly
