[Closed] What should I export to in Movies on DVD 8

Hi fellow forum members. I'm a beta tester of Windows 7 RC2 Build 7100. So I have found out that my burner is not supported by Magix Movies on DVD 8 in this beta version of Win7. But sadly, I have used many hours of editing my euro road trip

I don't know what sort of cord you have, but if you have a DV-camera, you need a Firewire (IEEE1394) cord for the transferring. You don't tell us which program you use.

Hi again, Maybe right now you just need to work around the problem to meet your deadline. However, in the long run, if you want to keep working with this camera, you won't really get around a FireWire controller and cable. It's not expensive

Hi, What Sony model is it exactly and how do you connect it to the computer? Have you tried both the DV AVI and the straight to MPEG-2 capture options in the program?

Thanks for the additional info. Sounds like you might be dropping frames during the capturing process. Pay attention to the dropped frame counter and see whether you can confirm this. Regardless of whether it is actually counting dropped frames

Hi, Try updating your FireWire driver or even installing a new, decent FireWire controller (e.g. Texas Instruments). From my experience, this can make a difference as far as DV capture is concerned. Other than that, maybe Magix support can help.
