    RE: Preview playback
I believe that this is in fact a Magix problem. The reason why i say this is: 1) You dont need a super computer to playback a video file.  2) If you just play a file, even before adding it to the project or the timeline... it also

    Preview playback
Is it just the way MEP is (I have MX Plus v18)? Even with a very small number of tracks, 3 or 4 my preview playback stutters terribly, often so much that I have to export the video to see how it looks. These are HD AVCHD files I am trying to

Afeter that effort, neither software wants to run. Error code, -6. It used to run fine. The only difference now is that I'm running my system drive off of a Solid State Drive. I guess no more Magix products for me. It was fun while it lasted. I'll

Gentlemen....thanks for giving it a try.  I'm sorry I haven't logged back in until now but I didn't realize there was any activity (my deafault settings didn't send me emails when there was activity).  I'm new to this particular forum and it's a

Hi Terry, thanks for the reply.  I would like to use it both to be able to cut out & show a particular part of an image & also to be able to use it as a mask to overlay and let other tracks show through.( As used with both Sony Vegas and

Paste text into Scrolling Credits in Magix Video Edit Pro 2013?
How can I cut & paste from a Word document into Final Credits of a video?  I don't want to re-type the cast list of a production.  I've previously used Sony Vegas Movie Studio but I'm trying out Magix Video Edit 2013 for its Multicam feature.

Yes, John. All my questions for awhile will relate to producing one wedding video with two camera angles from the ceremony.  At this point I am considering re-entering the wedding video production business and I am evaluating this product for user

Thank you for helping all of the noobs out there (including me).  I edited with Sony Vegas for several years and, while I became somewhat proficient, it was sort of clunky and lacked a little user-friendliness and fun factor. Now, after a couple

Hi George, The first this i did was to convert the files to mpeg and load them into Sony Vegas but quality was not good. I used www.brorsoft.com who claim to have a set up for Sony Vegas but I still didn't get the quality I'm getting in MEP so

Does any one have any tips to make Movie Editor Pro 18 run faster?
I'm running with an i7 processor 6gb of ram on windows 7 64bit with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M graphics card and this program is so slow. It is a brilliant program but it takes me twice as long to edit than in Sony Vegas, it keeps pausing for no

Thanks Gandjcarr for your very prompt and helpful reply.    What you've suggested was my first thoughts on the problem - i.e. some sysytem performance issue.   However, whilst I prefer using Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 HD, I also use Sony Vegas Movie

Hi When you access a file from an application, eg MEP, Windows does all the file handling and checking. If the file exists and is able to be opened, ie not locked by another application, then what is called the file handle and locking

Although my post is too late, I hope it could be useful to you.   Yeah, if you would like to edit the canon xf300 mxf files with FCP/FCP X, you need to install xf-plugins to make them compatible, which is very expensive. As far as I know, you

    Which MovieEdit Pro, I'm confused?
I downloaded what I thought was the correct demo but when I imported a video clip made on my Panasonic X900M camcorder with 5.1 surround sound, I noticed the sound track waveform was single, i.e. mono.  I thought all the 5.1 tracks would show up

magix movie maker 16 and H.264 codec?
