    RE: BW Alpha Masking Help
Can you post a screen shot of Movie Edit Pro showing the timeline with the objects, the mask selected and the effects screen open to the Chromakey screen?

Here is a quick video of a moving mask on the dog. This is a very challenging subject to do properly. My frame changes were at about a half a second, so the masking is not smooth, but you can see that the mask is in motion and changes

    RE: BW Alpha Masking Help
Hello, I tweaked the top values the best I could -- the images match as well as they can (the two halves of the dummy head are lined up), but the dummy head is not in the exact same position on both sides (ie it's actually closer to the camera in

    RE: BW Alpha Masking Help
Hi . . . . I increased the size of the video on the right and it improves the line, but you can tell it's still there . . . . Looking at the both images the left video is 1 or 2 pixels higher than the right video, so you need to move the left video

The y values are the same. I recorded two videos with the dummy head mic in the same position, but the mic moved slightly, and this is what I'm trying to mask--the line in the middle where it looks like the mic is a little lower on the right side

    RE: BW Alpha Masking Help
I answered the other post. Try moving the mask left and right. Also check that the top of each half is at the same y value. It looks like the left side is slightly higher than the right. That may be due to the mask.

RE: [Closed] Blurring only part of the video [Movie Edit Pro 2015]
Hi, You lost me there. What are the red lines? Did you give the mask a chromakey alpha effect? You can try moving the mask left and right to see if that helps.

    BW Alpha Masking Help
I have two videos on one screen, each taking up 50% of the screen. The video on track 1 is on the left side of the screen and the video on track 4 is on the right side of the screen. (There are audio files below each video on track 2 and 5.) I'm

Hey there. Is this thread still active? I am using the mask you uploaded to dropbox a while ago but turned 180 degrees and for some reason I can't seem to get it to mask the line in the middle of these two videos. Here is an image of the

Hi, You don't need Xara Designer Pro, which is a combination of Photo&Graphics Designer, Web Designer, and Page Layout programs. You only need Photo&Graphics Designer, which is presently on sale for 50$. You can download it and try it out. I

I am still monitoring 😉 as I get topic-updates in my e-mail. - I am not aware of Moving Masks and what they do. Basically what I am looking for is an ability to remove backgrounds from a particular subject. Think of an icedancer and able to remove

Hi, Xara (Designer Pro X) was just updated and they fixed the problems that I raised about the art brushes and the "Exit to Movie Editor" crashing Xara. Here is a quick and dirty example of an art brush in motion, as Bernadette eats the first spring

Hi It depends on what you wish to do. Rotoscoping is quite a general description for different methods of combining or overlaying live action with a different/ altered background and there are various tools available within Magix like - the creation

Thank you for the reply, John. The storage for the alphamask folder is c:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro\2017\VideoEffects\EffectAlphaMasks\As far as it being Premium, I have no idea and no longer remember. I looked in my Magix account at the

Hi . . . . MEP 17 vers. 16.0.1.22 . . . . Please do not abbreviate the program year designation, ie from the version number, you have the Premium version, sometimes called Movie Edit Pro 2017 or MEP 2017, this causes confusion with older version

    RE: Aspect ratio inconsistency
Hi all, I had come across this before but never tried it out. Xara Photo&Graphics Designer or Designer Pro X has a video showing the "Content Aware" feature. This allows you to stretch a photo but at the same time, protect part of the image from

Hi I presume you mean this tutorial here. If so then you need the mask that is linked to in the PDF tutorial file, and then follow the instructions again. Pleas do not resurrect old topics - if you have any issues following the tutorial please post

Hi...! So I'm trying to edit a video by bluring multiple objects (sometimes 5 at a time). So I've looked at multiple tutorials (including the one you propose here) and have not managed to make it work. If I have only one mask, then it works

Newest effect features in Edit Pro
