RE: Random frames of vertical lines...
@doug-o Hi. I guess it's like someone said: buy a new machine every three years... 😑 It depends. I got the 'bones' of my present computer in march of 2019. Doubled the ram capacity in mid 2022 and bought a new graphics card for it end of last year.

If you need a PCM audio file larger than 4GB, save as a 'Sony Wave64' <.w64> I am not familiar with the 'Steam edition' of Sound Forge 12 or if it has the option to render <.w64> fles. SF Audio Studio 12 in general was a unique build,

RE: Update patch released for VPX 14 (VPX 20.0.3.180 (UDP3)
@Marc-Goder Hi Marc. I opened a few old projects using various plug-ins and can't say I have noticed any performance differences with any effects including any New Blue ones that I do use. Certainly it has not altered rendering times which is

RE: Pops / Clicks when Exporting Wavs
Hi @SporkimusPrime, Interesting, I've not seen that particular issue, but I don't use that plugin. Plugin latency definitely can be an issue in Acid though. For example, i find if I have an audio bus and add any iZotope plugin to it it adds latency

    RE: General discussion on add-ons
@Reyfox @johnebaker Well it turns out with no surprise to me that Boris Titler Pro is the main culprit for the playback stutters and slow rendering for the first twenty seconds or so at the start of the project. Possibly also because that causes

@johnebaker @AAProds @Former user @rickduley Woah! So three hours later there was no audio on track one I could get to play. Also the video stuttered again. In the audio object I selected properties and in the sampling section changed it to match

@Steve-Blackman Hi Steve Late to the party on this one. The MX3d_PresentationLayer_x64.dll issue has been seen several times before in the forum and relates to either: A source video is Variable framerate in your case neither the GoPro or Dashcam

@deanccino That's why @johnebaker asked you to upload a file to google drive or Dropbox to share. Posted on this site or anywhere else and the file gets re-rendered. We need the same file you use. To see if anything in the files' exif data could be

@me_again Ahha! yep I didn't look at that, I'm using Vegas to make that 10fps clip, (I didn't want MS to see what i was doing 🤫) it took a few renders to get PCM not ADPCM but eventually i got it, loaded into MS & this 15sec clip became 6seconds

RE: Please rework the proxy generation.
@Former user Hi. By your description I'm assuming you are generating proxies by using the pre-render option rather than opting to create proxy files when importing clips. You can force a proxy render by using the range markers to select a section of

RE: Benchmark for Movie Studio 2023
@Former user Hi Gid. In MEP 2022 the project acts exactly as you describe in both playback and rendering. VPX I get smoother playback and slightly faster rendering. The Intel GPU only shows less than 1% of any video decoding and varies between 4-7%

Thanks @sheppo! Yeah I have had issues with iZotope as well. One of the glaring issues is the limiter floor just not working. I have a lot better luck using AM-Unition. This is on master bus. I do both of these on Master. I will try a realtime

@CubeAce Hi, hopefully this will make you feel a bit better reg MS/VPX + TS on your machine, I knew it was a bad combo on my machine but I made a boring 11min vid for you to show how it goes with me. MP4 AVC UHD 30fps constant, nearly 12sec clip

RE: Movie Studio 2023 does not use GPU to export to MPEG-4
Processing was set to CPU. I changed that to match the Import and Export settings. Rendering time after that change was reduced to about 95 seconds. A very welcome improvement. I have not checked driver version yet. Will look into that

@Reyfox Did you notice the committed value beneath that? Mainly compiling graphics. Once you get away from the presets, especially changing sizes, moving around, and textures and it soon uses up motherboard memory. Thankfully it doesn't use that

RE: Burning more than one DVD from a movie project
@dan_lachance You can indeed burn multiple copies using MEP. I don't have access to MMS 2023 so it may have changed recently but in the older versions (2021), simply go through the burn process again. You'll eventually be presented with this

@browj2, BorisFX is not supported by VPX according to their WEBPAGE. I've worked with NBFX Titler Pro as a standalone and exported the file just fine. No, it doesn't work faster, but it also doesn't bog down the NLE either when it has to play back
