Why does the program keep skipping and jumping when you want to record

While im recording through the 16 bars, when i click record to record my vocals the program starts to glitch. It sometimes would run smooth if i have to mute atleast 7 of the 16 bars. When i want to playback what i recorded the program starts

@procyon and @nihon, What you both are saying is absolutely correct if the project was totally created in MM, because if both the music and the vocals were created in MM they will both adhere to the 6 milisecond minimum which is the smallest

I am using Music MAker MX and I am getting severe clipping on some files particularly vocals cause massive clipping noise

When i drop some of the voice files onto the tracks they clip like crazy and other tracks are fine. Any ideas on cause?

I agree with Procyon that you could use the "Karaoke" effect, but that will really only minimize the vocal track, not eliminate it in most cases. Which means that your vocal could be louder than the original which has been minimized, however if
