RE: Proxy files problem | "Creation of a proxy not required"
@Reyfox All the video editor forums who had them (not all do) I visited during my research into such programs had more complaints about crashes and bugs than here at the time. A lot still do. The then somewhat less buggy looking program with an

@ericlnz Hi Eric. Missed that in the first line. A business has to move forward to generate cash or die. That is the consumer model, 😉👍 love it or hate it. They can't rely on people buying add on products such as templates or realistically charge

@drewmo Hi. Programs that were written with Direct X9 0r 11.1 in use at the time can't always make use of rewrites to the code in Direct X12 ultimate. Sometimes it is not always the fault of the program but changes in the operating system. Legacy

@friendflyer, Hi . . . . but previous versions of MEP are fine . . . . As I said above the newer version has a more restricted RGB range for Chromakey green effect to work effectively. In the video clip, I am measuring a green screen RGB colour

@Nalmcruto, I remember that article and think it outlines the differences between the software and who it is made for. We can always go "tit or tat" about features and ways of doing things. To me, it doesn't matter much since I always say use what

@MAGIX_Redaktion "Frame Salad", as described in this topic, from 2015, still exists. https://www.magix.info/de/forum/frame-salat-bei-avi-import--1122345/ This is incredibly annoying because it makes use of industry-standard HuffYUV and Lagarith AVIs

@Tusk I'm a pragmatist. Luck is being in the right place at the right time. That in turn is down to perseverance. Without that you would not be in the right place at the right time. Don't do yourself down. You did well. You would not have had the

@Stephen-Maddison - yes, I use other DAWs. I have Ableton Live, Renoise, and Reason Studio (although my sub for that has just lapsed and I probably wont renew it), and switch and change between them based on what I'm working on. I've been

@truegent I believe it is 1GB because of the Song Maker AI update. The idea is that you use always the newest version. This is also a good idea, because Music Maker gets bugfixes over time. Your old version will not get any bugfixes in the future.

@Reyfox Hi. They have to compete with new products and are not the industry leaders. When they charged $999 they were bigger players in a smaller pool of programs with fewer people doing video. Now everyone has a phone. If they don't follow the pack

@browj2 Hi John. I checked my Magix account again and it turns out I have not lost the use of any previous version of VPX but only of MEP 2020. All Humble Bundle activations went as new purchases. My preference would be to re-install VPX 12 if I
