RE: [Closed] Coronavirus Lockdown - Covid19
@Jochen-S it's great to create something on the day depending on your mood, when I am sad it's ambient. when I am relaxed it's chillout. When I am feeling energetic it's trance. When I am feeling uptight it's rock. When I am feeling hip, it's hop.

    RE: Soundpool instrument loops
This feature was removed. You cannot search for single loops anymore because now you have to buy the complete soundpool if you just want some loops. I looked it up in my personal collection and "Solaris 4" is a bass sample from Ambient Vol. 5. This

    RE: Finding Soundpool purchases
That worked for pretty much everything but I still have a couple of sound pools in the lap top that aren't on the desk top. I can't find them in the store and there is nothing in the downloads tab. They are nice, ambient soundpools. I'm working much

RE: Phantom audio "track" or some audio remnant.
@FF22 Try this. It may work. Tell us if it doesn't. Click on image to enlarge. Click on outer section of page to exit. Ray.   I may not understand. What "image to enlarge" do I click on? But I picked a "still" image (where the audio is playing

I can't figure out this time stretch thing at all.
If I want to distortion and to create ambient type of music by stretching the loop or the sound, I cannot do that in Music Maker can I? The only way to extend or stretch the music is to have it repeat over and over again correct?

RE: MAGIX Sound Effects ... Where?
@nancyandbob Hi . . . . "MAGIX Sound Effects" cannot be selected with either left or right click. It's icon appears to be dimmed also . . . The Magix Sound Effects is a section title as I have said previously above - 'the arrows to the left of the

RE: MAGIX Sound Effects ... Where?
"MAGIX Sound Effects" cannot be selected with either left or right click. It's icon appears to be dimmed also. I think it's a downward-pointing arrow. "Nature" and "Ambient" both bring up a bunch of directories / files under

RE: MAGIX Sound Effects ... Where?
@nancyandbob So the listed folder is there but PS, using the "old" interface, does not see it? Do you see the sub-folders shown in my screenshot, "Nature Sounds" and "Ambient" if you click on the "MAGIX Sound Effects" item? If you don't see those

RE: Ethical or legal dilemas of use of MEP with T&Cs.
@CubeAce Hi Ray, One solution is to get VPX which allows commercial use of content. Article on licensing issues with Soundpools: http://magazine.magix.com/en/commercial-use-of-music/ For Soundpools, I vaguely recall Ralph mentioning on the Music

RE: Should ambient sounds be centred?
Yes the stereo recording in the church would give me the overall sound with the huge church natural soaring reverb, but when I want just the vows and readings, I would mix the two together to give a much more intimate sound to those parts, sometimes

RE: Should ambient sounds be centred?
As an example, you could record the general stereo sound of a busy shopping mall with people passing buy, background chatter etc. To that, you could add your subject talking to a friend in a close up shot, which would need to be recorded in

RE: Should ambient sounds be centred?
If you are recording background ambient sound in stereo to give width and space to it, it would be panned centre to give equal balance to left and right stereo positioning of the recording. If you panned it to one side, you would completely lose the

RE: Should ambient sounds be centred?
There are many variations to ambient sound. Typically you would record a general non specific ambience of the area you are in as an overall background, usually in stereo to give space. You could then record sounds that are specific to the shot in

    Should ambient sounds be centred?
When it comes to natural ambience sounds, such as cars passing and birds tweeting, should you keep them centred, or is it safe to pan them in either the left or right direction?

Are FX like Valhalla shimmer plug-ins compatible with MM?
Or are there any similar plugins available in MM - like more advanced reverberators. I want to create some atmospheric ambient music in MM.

RE: How to create distance in audio?
@FelixDunn Hi Felix. There is no ultimate best way. Try both and see which works best within that mix. A lot will depend on how the ambient acoustics of the track you wish to place into the soundscape blends with the ambience of the track it's

RE: How to create distance in audio?
@FelixDunn First. You don't have to, but is often desirable to reduce possible confusing/contradicting ambient sound information within the mix. Equally, you could just pan both channels to the desired locations within the mix if the effect needs to

RE: How to create distance in audio?
As CubeAce has said, audio varies infinitely according to where and how it was recorded, so it will always be difficult to exactly capture an authentic soundtrack. There are a few things that it will help to bear in mind, the first of which is that
