RE: TV Screen Size
@HYEE Welcome to the Magix user to user forums. 4:3 images will not fill a 16:9 screen, there will be black bars at the sides; 4:3 images placed in a 16:9 project will have parts of the photo cropped, unless you zoom out on the image, at which point

Blu-ray menu chapters not working
I’m trying to make a blu-ray disc with one 90 minute movie and several chapters with MEP. The disc would have a main menu with a ”play movie” button and a ”go to submenu” button. And the submenu would have buttons for all the chapters of the movie.

RE: [Closed] Feedback on Movie Studio 2023
@browj2 Expansion/contraction is about the centre or wherever the anchor point is located. That's exactly what I don't want. Have a look at the image I posted: I want to place a white bar next to the black box. In the old days, I'd position the

Adjust wide-screen dimensions?
Hi, I am trying to edit my video and add the wide screen preset "Feature Film" but the black bars are too big for what I have shot. Is there a way to edit the dimensions? Or create a widescreen effect myself? Thanks

RE: Finished video does not fit on screen
Thanks very much for your quick response, John. My screens don't match the tutorial, but I was able to muddle through. The images show up short on the screen (with black bars) but do display properly when I render the video. That's a little

RE: TV Screen Size
@HYEE Hi . . . . Maybe I can use the TV settings to make the display fill the TV screen . . . . Assuming the TV is a 16:9 widescreen, the images apsect ratio of 4:3 can also be expressed as 16:12. Putting an image of 16 width and maintaining this

RE: Adjust wide-screen dimensions?
@william-c1945 Hi William, and welcome to the user to user forums. Is this for a set screen ratio or do you want the black bars to show? If you want to try, open the image beneath in another tab. Select show image in a new tab by right clicking on

RE: Best movie format using old DV media footage
@JeffB2310 Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party. To comment on the previous posts: Movie Settings I suggest you make these in 4:3 format. If you make the movie settings 16:9, you will be adding black side bars, because your 4:3 video shouldn't be

RE: Section Effect does not work
@Simply_Simon @Former user Section is not difficult to use. It is far simpler than setting up Size/Position/Rotation for a simple crop. Unfortunately, MEP 2022 (version 21) had a fatal Section bug where, as you have found, the section settings

For the AVI-heads: MMS2023 Bug - incorrect file ratio on import
Hello all you AVIers out there. Over many months, ever since MMS 2023 (and possibly 2022, can't remember) came out, I have found that the program doesn't interpret AVIs that don't have ratio information stored in them. These are files from analogue

RE: How to turn off all these irritating MAGIX notifications
@johnebaker See this comment. Resetting the dialogues and dealing with that (illogical) prompt fixed the Installation Manager prompt on start up. Is the Hide news option in the program settings checked? It wasn't, but it is now. That fixed the Black

RE: Adjust wide-screen dimensions?
@william-c1945 Could you post a screenshot of your current Preview Monitor to show what you want to achieve/change? You can easily create your own movie size and ratio (File>Settings>Movie) then use the Section effect/control to fit your video

RE: Slow rendering Movie Studio 2023
@ASty The video appears to have a cinematic screen ratio. If you have added that ratio to your clips, that is one effect that is mainly dealt with by the CPU rather than a GPU and does slow down exports. Other effects added can also slow down

RE: Finished video does not fit on screen
Just watched your tute, John. Well done, as usual, but I do think SPR is used for effects it's not optimised for. While you have done a great job, listening to the explanation made my head spin, because of the complexity of the design. It is a shame

RE: Can Not Export 4k or Higher Video in Portrait + MPEG-4 Issues
@Purbear Hi, Did you check Tiktok and Instagram video formats? All I can find is max. 1920x1080 or 1080x1920. What makes you think otherwise? The fact that Movie Studio can actually import and export 8K is amazing. That it can't export 8K in 9:16 is

RE: [Closed] Feedback on Movie Studio 2023
@MAGIX_Redaktion Analogue AVI handling doesn't work properly. MMS 2023 incorrectly interprets the file aspect ratio, even for it's own MXVs. When an AVI is imported (eg 720x576 capture), it displays incorrectly in the Preview monitor as 5:4 instead
