RE: MOV from iPhone imports in 'vertical' aspect
@terrypin Hi Terry . . . . Did it automatically resize after the manual rotation, as in John CB’s case . . . . No, it centred itself with a resolution of width of 1080, height of 608. Checked this several times. . . . . I blame the few spoons of

RE: MOV from iPhone imports in 'vertical' aspect
Thanks both. John EB: I’m sure you’re right about the rotation flag and I now recall that earlier discussion. Shame Magix still haven’t got around to a presumably trivial bit of coding like the other video player developers. Did it automatically

RE: MOV from iPhone imports in 'vertical' aspect
Hi Terry, I'd blame it on the cat. Since it was shot with the iPhone in landscape, then the last line Media Info showing a rotation of 270 would put it vertically, no? I opened it in VPX and MEP2019 and it came in vertically. I flipped it 90

MOV from iPhone imports in 'vertical' aspect
I'm puzzled why my iPhone 6S+ records movies like this example in vertical mode. https://www.dropbox.com/s/w6xbtzet7f5wvne/20190525-010703-Cat.mov?raw=1 The iPhone app that recorded it (Motion Sensor), is presumably the root cause, because MediaInfo

RE: When I record my vocals, the instrumental is also being re-recorded.
I have that one too. It will work but since it doesn't have the "Mix Mic / Playback" control you'll end up doing the one earcup off routine when recording vocals. No problem many singers prefer that. The UM2 is a good little interface - the button

@CubeAce Hi Ray, Just to add to the difficulties, don't forget the sound. Capturing good sound is better than trying to fix it in post. John EB posted some pictures of his dead

Tagging pictures
I am brand-new to Magix. I have many old family pictures I've scanned, plus contemporary pix on various media. The scans are all tagged, usually with multiple tags, like 1940/Mom or Cats/Wellsie. The software they are tagged with is no longer

Hello John. You gave some great advice and tips. Your explanations on what to do are excellent. Thank you for going into such detail. It was most appreciated. I would like to apologize to you and Jeff for taking so long to respond. Earlier this week

RE: DVD failure in menu
@terrypin @johnebakerUp late now. Still trying to solve this. Terry, as far as what was on the timeline, I knew the cats clip already and didn't play it out in MEP (dumb). Did not notice that the audio was flat! The copy of it I have plays

Why start discussing another project until we’ve drawn some conclusion about the first two? Especially as, so far, I can’t see any problem. But I’m still not yet clear exactly what your problem is with those two as you haven’t spelt out what

@johnebaker@terrypin Sorry. I'll try to follow directions now. :). It's better anyway, I'm starting to get confused myself.First, there IS an audio! But the iso has none. Oooh myyyyy, G. . .You mean, there was no audio on your tracks? The cat vid is

@terrypin@johnebaker Good morning! I had at the beginning of this discussion uploaded a disc image to DropBox (not realizing that I should be creating and uploading a "backup media folder" which I then did with a mini video of cats). I then deleted

RE: DVD failure in menu
The issue I have with the previous DVDs as well as the little cat video (not mine, BTW, it came from somewhere in the Net, maybe youTube), is that, it seems to go smoothly during the creation of the DVD Folder or Disc, but playback - on VLC or any

RE: DVD failure in menu
@johnebaker Very strange. I've used MEP for years (since 2009 at least) and I almost always leave the "Film Menu" off and have only the chapter menu. That was never a problem before. The chapter page is not actually the "main movie", but the 2 (in

@siegbrunn Thanks for the project download. I can see that you have modified the menu template, disabling the main movie menu and adding a link on the chapter page to the main movie. AFAIK this is not allowed the player is expecting a main movie

Hi As Jeff says Vegas Pro has its own forum, however the answer is also relevant to any video editing and audio cleaning program. Wind noise is a very random type of noise which can be difficult to analyse because of this

RE: MPG vs. 1080P
Hi Peter. Thanks so much for the explanation, which I very much needed. I think describing what I record would be helpful. Birds are my largest subject, but they're mostly (98%) on the grass, often with foliage in the background. My next frequent

Yes, Windows 32-bit. The Windows 7 version is also 32-bit. Yep, MEP 2015 Plus is what I was supposed to have written! Sorry. Sorry, but I've been through that recovery disk malarkey several times. I still prefer to own a hard-copy of the DVD or CD).
