First post, whoop whoop! well I think the new Movie Edit is a major improvement, just open up the effects panel and you will see a MAJOR difference. To me this alone was worth the upgrade. At last some decent colour correction and effects editing

Hi Brian, On Movie Edit Pro 14, you wouldn't have to rename the MOD files to MPG. Just make sure you have the MPEG-2 codec and Dolby Digital Stereo decoder activated (via "Help" => "Activate additional functions") and these files will show up
