RE: Exporting 1.5 hour movie
Just out of curiosity,I suggest you try WMV format. It DRAMATICALLY reduces the video file size! Also, try opening your video file(s) in Windows MovieMaker. Click on the "Save" options, and try saving as a "Custom" size, where you select how many Mb

RE: How can I install addtional content for for Movie Edit Pro 14 PLUS successfully and avoid getting the message, "No supported software for MAGIX Content Pack 1 found"
As far as I have read, the Win7 does not support MEP 14, which is much older than Win7.

RE: change import picture setting from 7 seconds to shorter value - Video 17 hd plus
The option to set the standard picture length is under 'File' >> 'Settings' >> 'Program settings'. In MEP 14 it is on the 'System' tab; in VPX it is on the 'Video/Audio' tab.

MEP17+ is a nightmare. I have used MEP 11, 12, 14, 15 with no problems.
Program crashed 10 times in a 6 hour edit session. It inserts black space where the clips appear to be together, forcing me to overlap the clips to avoid a gap. And now, when my finished project is ready, the lips don't sync! How am I going to

RE: Title Transparency
Carl, I figured out the cause of the problem (actually it was my wife's suggestion, to give credit where it is due). It wasn't hardware related and wasn't a bug in the software either, just perhaps a design flaw or gap in the

RE: Record video over an 'AUDIO' backing track?
tony, I not sure if there is a way to directly 'record' video into a MEP14 project but you should certainly be able to record your performance using a video camera and then simply import that into MEP to combine it with your backing

RE: MVP files compatible with all versions of movie edit pro?
akyramoto, As fas as I know there should be no problem. Even projects from MEP 14+ (these are MVD files) can be used though they are usually brought in via 'File' >> 'Manage movies' >> 'Import'. You get a message that the

RE: Title Transparency
I've got complete opacity with the slider up in both MEP14+ and VPV2.5! I checked this with various video display options eg overlay or direct 3D etc (under 'File' >> 'Program settings'). Maybe check these if the problem might be video card

RE: Can I export my movie back onto my MiniDV camcorder tape?
Ben, Only certain export file formats can be sent to external devices. In MEP14+ the 'File' >> 'Export movie' >> Video as DV-AVI...' window has a check box 'Output after rendering...' which indicates a dialog will open after

RE: Why does burning in MEP14 claim multiple DVDs are needed for a 76min video?
It could be that parts of your edit(s) are still ghosting into your project... I have heard of this happening, but I have never experienced it. My suggestion is to export this out as a MPEG-2 file to your hard-drive

Why does burning in MEP14 claim multiple DVDs are needed for a 76min video?
I have completed editing a video which is 76minutes long. When I try to burn the a PAL DVD (120mins) with highest quality it is defined as 1hr 32 mins long and I then get a message telling me I need multiple disk as it is 8353/4489 MB. If I set

RE: I SEEM TO HAVE LOST MY TIME LINE VIEW FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY EDIT SCREEN HOW DO I GET IT BACK
SHIRIC, Depends on your program version. In MEP14+ it was 'Window' >> 'Standard layout' shortcut [L] key. In VPX (and probably MEP16 etc) it's under 'Window' >> 'Reset window arrangement' shortcut [F9]

RE: video mpe4 format
I don't think MEP 14 works with mp4 format. Remember that mp4 is a relatively new format of compression ...and MEP14 is an old program.

RE: How do I blur a video and make it appear out of focus?
Depends on you program version... In MEP14+ you can use the blur effect. If it is to be constant for the object use the realtime visual FX editor window [Shift+Y], click on 'Blur' button and drag your mouse across the sensor ball to
