RE: What am I missing out on by sticking to V17
So I was referring only to rendering output - using NVIDIA solely is just vastly superior to iGPU. But coming back to your comments, on my 8700K I have it set up with two monitors, one each on the GPU and one on the iGPU and that way Windows detects

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
I do not see a crop tool in version 16. Is this the case? Looking at documentation I think the only way to crop is to use either the section or zoom effects. As I mentioned Section does not work properly with any export - the picture is

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
OK, I solved the extreme zoom problem - the codec appears fine. I went back to my original clip from the camera and started with a new project. Saved that to mp4 with no editing and it played fine. So now I'm back to the initial problem - if I use

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
OK I took a step back and tried something simpler. I created an unedited (except cutting it's length) of my original movie and exported it as mpeg. That played fine. Then I created a new project using that MP2 as the only object and exported it as

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
@Bob-Schlesinger Bob, stop looking at Size and Position. It's confusing the issue (but it is actually displaying the data correctly). All you need to do is: -Click the object, put the Play marker over the object then click the Section effect. -Drag

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
I still don't understand this. Can you walk me through it? What should my export settings be? For example, my video is 1920 x 1080. Let's say I want to crop the original by doubling the frame size to 3840 x 2160. That gives me a center area that

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
When using the zoom effect it is even more bizarre. There does not seem to be any way to zoom without increasing the dimensions of the image. For example as shown in the screen shots, it goes from 1920x1080 to 4165 x 2342 just because I cropped! I

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
@CubeAce First crop the image to the desired size using the crop tool and then use the Zoom / Position tool to expand the result to fill the screen. Ray, that is not necessary. "Full screen" will fill the screen after a Section crop (well, it is

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
@Bob-Schlesinger Hi Bob, and welcome to the user to user forums.. I think you need to use both effects. First crop the image to the desired size using the crop tool and then use the Zoom / Position tool to expand the result to fill the screen. Ray.

RE: Unable to export cropped video properly
Addendum: I also tried using Camera/Zoom to crop. This causes a different problem. When exporting to mp4 it crops that to a tiny part of the selected area and blows that up to fill the screen. It then acts like a 360 degree effect even though that

hi @Datorhead The core audio engine hasn’t been upgraded in a way that would affect this in a few versions that i can see. These volume envelopes are still visible if you set a tempo transition and zoom right in. They’re still audible too. However,

RE: Update MEP 2022 and VPX 13 21.0.1.107
Resize about centre, move anchor point to upper left, rotate. I succeeded but the anchor point is always in the upper left, even though I managed to get the image to zoom in about its centre. So, don't ask how as I still don't understand. John CB

I just bought Movie Studio 2022, which was advertised as an upgrade to Movie Studio 16. Movie Studio 16 is a brilliant program with the best, fast user interface one can imagine. I've been editing films professionally for nearly 20 years and Vegas

@Turkana Hi Richard The book animation is very realistic - a good solution for the Greek text - elegant and using the minimum necessary to achieve the effect. The circle effect problem with thicker lines is an issue. I used a similar technique for
