RE: VHS captures, video "washed-out"
@browj2 Hi John . . . . There is only 480i . . . . The details give bottom field first by default and accepting this gives a warning to switch to top field first. . . . . This where things get really dumb. As noted by the message for interlaced

RE: instagram video size
@kate-m Hi Kate . . . . seems that it is important to have a 1080 x 1080 frame size, so videos look good on instagram . . . . Where did you get this from, Instagram makes no mention of this in their recommended formats/resolutions here? John EB

RE: Glow/Luminance on white shirts (VHS-MP4)
@Rickvv Rick, you can disregard using AVIDemux; I've just had a look at the Bandicut website and it looks like "High Speed' mode gives a lossless snip; but as has already been pointed out, your snips are (still) variable frame rate, not that that is

RE: VHS captures, video "washed-out"
@Can-Dive I was not aware of this 4:3 vs 5:4 issue. Do you know if this problem exists across different video editors? For example, to your knowledge, does Vegas Pro have this issue? I couldn't say. We do have a few Vegas users here though so they

RE: VHS captures, video "washed-out"
@AAProds @johnebaker Hi all, Just to annoy me, or not, I plugged the Roxio into the Hub, it immediately made the connection song, and worked. For the devices, I find the IOData GV-USB2 too expensive, the Startech is at or beyond the limit of what I

RE: Effects freezes program
@Bob-Nicholson Hi There is little in the file that would seem to cause trouble. Your system should be coping. Try going into the project movie settings and alter the frame speed to 30 fps and see if that helps. 29.970 fps is normally only found on

RE: Movie Studio - Why so finnicky? An unknown error has occurred
@big_guitar Sorry I'm a bit late to the party on this one but I don't understand why you would use OBS at a frame rate less than the refresh rate of your monitor. I have never had problems editing OBS recorded footage in MMS or VPX. I see slight

RE: some transitions not being implemented after export
@jim-thorley Hi. I have tried everything I can to not make the transitions work. Extended and shortened the transitions from super fast to extremely slow, exported at different frame rates and resolutions to the files used. Every time they have both

RE: HEVC Codec Problem?
@Vidnoob Hi With respect to the GPU are the Intel drivers up to date? From the MediaInfo: Minimum frame rate : 4.961 FPSMaximum frame rate : 30.161 FPS This 'extreme' framerate range is possibly the cause

RE: Rendered Video is flickering/pulsing
Greetings @Darynn-Ho What I would like to look at is the same clip BUT the original if possible. I'll explain why. It (probably) is something to do with the variable bitrate and the fact that the original is identified as 60 fps - as discussed

RE: Poor result on still image travelling
Hi Marc. When I said it is unwise to alter the refresh rate of a monitor I meant to try to push it above it's native refresh rate. You could try going lower but you may experience flickering on the monitor itself. The refresh rate can be changed on

H264 Export Frame Rate of 16.67 Possible?
G'day all, I'm now into cine "capture" and find I'm ending up with a framerate of 16.67, which I'd like to keep. Movie Studio can't export H264 at that, but can VPX 14? Thanks!

Hi John Thanks for your thoughts. Maybe I am being a bit simplistic. My interpretation of the situation is I am adding a video with a different frame rate than the project settings and in the past when this happens Magix gives me the option to

@Can-Dive Hi, Further to your image/quote, the PhotoStory manual states: During playback all objects on all tracks are mixed together automatically. When moving a photo, all related objects will be moved along with it, for example, audio recordings,

RE: blip/hiccups at start
@AAProds Hi Al, Sorry, it's impossible to say! I don't think you can zoom in far enough in MMS/VPX to show such points. Remember, the "sound" in the image I posted actually lasts for 7 thousandths of a second! As to how to avoid such glitches with

RE: new bug in MS2023 Platinum / import PNG image generate FROM MS2023
@browj2 Hi John. I have no variable frame rate files so not that for me at least. My disc was left reading for longer than two minutes. Probably nearer three and a half. Have never had the problem since the drive was removed. Ray.

RE: H264 Export Frame Rate of 16.67 Possible?
@AAProds Hi Al. I was just trying out some google searches and it turns out that 16.67 ms per frame equals 60 fps. Coincidence or what? Are these files that are downloaded and is it possible that the file data is being read wrong? Ray.

RE: H264 Export Frame Rate of 16.67 Possible?
@ericlnz Hi Eric, As others may find this of interest, here is one of your comments in the Vegas forum: Actually no. At 16fps the flicker would be unwatchable. 8mm projectors have a three bladed shutter so you actually see each frame three times.

RE: Deinterlacing-How does Magix do it?

@MME007 It does indeed look like a screen refresh rate issue. Here are all the combinations on a YT playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-dhdjQ1_Yu0cV0TrbqR92uJ9lS9ApbVl They all play as smooth as silk on my 200Hz LED TV, both from my

RE: Guidance for Sony cameras outputting MXF containers w/ XAVC
@Arlene-Allen Hi . . . . Looks like Video Pro X is limited. I need both XAVC-I and XAVC-L. . . . The only difference between these 2 formats and AVC-Intra is the frame rate, bitrate and in the case of XAVC-L it is also Long GOP. None of these
