RE: How Can I Stop Magix from Crashing?
It sounds like you have a memory or processor issue. Have you ever been able to run MEP14 before without this problem? If you are running on a slower machine you will have problem. Magix programs require a lot of power and ram to handle the load

RE: how i can stabilize video image
badbob, MEP14+ is Magix, not 'magic'! :-) There are limits to what the auto stabilization can do. It works best when there is an area with good contrast and reasonably sharp focus. I've found good results picking a reference area in the

Movie Edit Pro 14 - Which update required to enable burn?
Which update (driver?) is required to enable MEP14 to locate a DVD drive in the burn phase. I have been unable to identify which one is needed. Burn gives message that DVD writer cannot be found - a problem other people have

RE: Thanks for the answer. I am trying to change the Title time default. On my program, I can change the time for any given slide, but I can not change the default time. It always comes back to 5 seconds.
Depends on which program you are using... In MEP14+ and newer at least, go to 'Program settings' [Y] key, and under the 'System' tab you'll find the standard picture length. In some of Magix's older programs a change required editing one of the

RE: How can I get what I capture to be at a normal usable speed?
Just change the speed, middleman! 'How?' I hear you ask... Depends on your program version. In the newer ones eg MEP16 & VPX, select the clip and go to the 'Effects' tab >> 'Video Effects' >> 'Speed'. In older version eg

RE: Deleting a Decoration
carlbarry, Decorations, multi picture in picture and collages typically 'group' all the elements being used to make it easier to move the whole lot if needed. You would need to 'un-group' before deleting a part, but note however that

qwilder, 1. Depends on your program version: In newer ones select the video object on the timeline and go to 'Effects' >> 'Video effects' >> 'Chroma key' and click on the green option -- color to be hidden. In older ones

How well does MEP 16 handle HD editting. I currently use 14 and playback is stuttery and jerky....
I have a short deadline to edit a HD project. I am a long time MEP user and currently use 14, and love it. However, in HD, the movie playback is stuttery and jerky. I have already read most of the comments from people who are experiencing the

RE: editing questions on slide show on Movie Edit Pro 14
Instead of using the pre-definded zoom-effects from Effects you could try Movement instead. Here you can adjust the amount of zooming etc. If you have MEP 14 Plus, Keyframe Animation give you 'endless' possibilities. (without Plus, I think it is

RE: Magix will not recognize my burner.
I had exactly the same problem, in MEP14, went to burn to a DVD, the DVD window was blank. MEP14 came out a few years ago, and wouldn't have today's burners, so it was necessary to go to this site and find the burner updates. There were

The problem has been solved, yes, MEP 14 plus does run on Win7 Prof, 32 and 64 bit. The problem was as somebody else explained on this forum and on the Magix site, had to do with some test during install making sure the dvd was protected or

RE: Undo takes a long time
Nothing against Win 7, but you might want to use a Win 7 compatible version of MEP? 14 may run in compatibility mode, Win XP SP2 for instance, and you would need to get the burn routines, but it is an older generation program now. Handling

RE: Why is Magix so fu**** unstable ????
Have you tried resetting soundpools? Are your soundpools on another drive? I haven't had any stability issues with Music Maker 14-16, MEP14 and 16, Samplitude, etc. - but I have a pretty dedicated system with very few background processes

The stores are real slow at getting anything new from Magix. The local Staples store is still trying to off-load MEP14 here....be patient and keep bugging them as it is out there somewhere.

RE: I imported a file onto magix movie edit pro 14 and it came in as all one movie file. I want to delete a few portions of the indiviual scenes but don't know how to seperate them. Is this possible?
First of all, I advice you to study your handbook. You also have a PDF-document of nearly 400 pages under C:/Program Files/Magix/MEP14/Manual/. And there is a Search function on the right side on this page. Stand in Timeline, and move the red

Well one must make some assumptions here....we will assume you are working on MEP14,15,or 16. It is the same process on all of these so.... Save your project. In he upper right corner beside "edit" is the "burn" tab. Press this and insert a dvd

Not a lot of info to go on but....... Try to burn a much smaller movie...... and see if that works. MEP 12 does not handle burning a well as MEP 15 or 16. The "used space..." refers to the amount of room on the DVD vers the size of the movie

RE: [Closed] How can I stitch 2 video files?
Upload each of the video files to your computer and mark each file so you can keep them in order. Open your editing program (I assume MEP 14, 15, 16?) and input your first file. Then open each file in order. When the program asks if you want to
