RE: MEP 2013 Preloading - slow? ineffective?
Hi Peter, I haven't yet been able to study John's folder structure thoroughly. Even when I have, experience tells me I'm going to find it hard going without seeing the CONTENTS of each folder and subfolder, because that's ultimately the only way

RE: MEP 2013 Preloading - slow? ineffective?
Thanks John Very neat - I should have thought of having a "template" of subfolders. Still a little unclear how you proceed from there though. Presumably you have to navigate to the appropriate folder every time you "save something in...."

RE: MEP 2013 - Why larger icons?
Hi Peter, I think we are singing from the same hymn sheet: "...the zoom tool doesn't appear if you navigate to (say) Collages via Effects > Design Elements > Collages"? IOW, it only appears if you navigate via Import - as you've

RE: MEP 2013 - Why larger icons?
Peter, It seems that one of the reasons I missed this (apart from premature senility) is that the zoom tool doesn't appear if you navigate to (say) Collages via Effects > Design Elements > Collages. Or for better quality:

RE: The Bonus Pack from Catooh
Hi, I am not sure what you are asking. The Media Pool is pretty much a file manager. You can use it to navigate to any folder you want. I don't actually see any folder titled "Extra Effects" in any of the MEP created directories, so create

RE: Why would I have 34 sound collections showing in Magix Music Maker 2013 and 26 showing on Magix Samplitude Music Studio 2013 when both DAWs are installed on one computer?
Are any of the soundpools duplicated? I have an issue with one of my Music Makers duplicating the same soundpools, so it appears I have more than I do, but they are just duplicates. Hey John - thanks for your help - no duplicates - it

MM 2013 Premium soundpool problems
I recently purchased MM 2013 Premium. I installed it on both my laptop & my desktop which is the server on my home network, though this has no true bearing on my issue. In both installations I am experiencing problems with the soundpools. I

RE: Cannot open file - Magix Music Maker 2013
Hi, I would agree with John-Auvil's assesment. When I worked at Hewlett Packard (for almost 30 years), we could save files that were scanned and allowed by the corporate firewall and AV app. to the network drives, but when we tried to re-open

RE: Renaming AVCHD clips when importing from multiple SD cards so that they follow a sequence (and end up in the right folder!)
I have actually given up on this feature as I am now getting program crashes when opening / closing the record AVCHD window (Exception caused by Kernel32.dll) and are using Johns renamer utility, but just a few more observations about MEP's import

RE: Renaming AVCHD clips when importing from multiple SD cards so that they follow a sequence (and end up in the right folder!)
Hi Terry I am not doing anything much different in that I am just putting my SD card in a USB reader and accessing that through the red Record button in MEP. You are right - the Manual does not mention the rename feature but if you open the

RE: How to close a window in Magix Movie Edit Pro 17
deambrosi, The Window menu is for easy navigation between movies. If by 'close a window' you mean to delete a movie use 'File' >> 'Manage movies' >> 'Remove from project'. Note also the little film reel icon towards the left above

Hi I am having a similar problem with MEP MX at the moment - importing video files does not always import the sound correctly. Try this:- With MEP open press the Y key to open the program settings dialog. On the Folders tab make a note

RE: MP3 deviation ... Help ... SOS ... Suicide Run
