RE: How to import the video from the disk, which has chapters?
I also use MEP 14+. The Mediapool is what Magix call the 'Directory' to the right of the monitor. I usually copy such files 'by hand', as a normal Windows copy process. But I now tried 'Importing File' with Magix as you mentioned, and it also

RE: How to re-import a VCD movie (DAT file)
I use MEP 14+, and have a SVCD disk. This is as we know a different quality (MPEG2). Her the file name is AVSEQ01.MPG. I copy it to the HD, and drag it down to Timeline, with no problems. I suppose you have tried this with no luck.  Your file is

RE: Error message when importing avi files
Yeah I tried the reset. I tried uninstall and install. I tried importing from different drives. I tried renaming and a bunch of different settings tweaks. None of it worked. What I just tried was converting them to WMV files, and it seems to work

If you download the trial, make sure to right click the file, rename, and put .exe at the end to make it executable.

RE: I have 8 dvds some good, bad and awful no chapters. Can I organize
I guess that your DVD's contain MPEG-files, as ordinary MPG-files or VOB-files, which also are a sort of MPG's. They are easily edited in Magix Movie Edit Pro, and as Clevo says, I will also reccomend it. Many other filetypes are also

I don't know what has happened to your project, but you say "In the actual folder the file still exists as an hour long AVI."  In fact, this file is never changed in any way by Magix. The program just uses References from the Original file. All you

RE: Marker support for video timelines?
Hi, You get a few jump markers and the chapter markers in Movie Edit Pro. If you right-click on them, there's a rename function, which enables you to enter a word or brief phrase that will appear next to the marker in the timeline. It's the same

RE: How do you get a renamed project to show up?
Hello, You have to make sure to distinguish between the project and the movie name. The project (MVP file) is the bigger unit and can contain one or more movies (MVD files), which you can all burn onto a single DVD. The movie that is currently

How do you get a renamed project to show up?
I created a project MGTEST4, after completing a jerky (scrolling text) adding transitions (or fades whichever they are called), and adding ending credits I renamed the project Oregon Coast 2009.  The problem is that when I load Oregon Coast 2009 it

    RE: MPEG4 import costs extra?
Hi, In the regular version of Movie Edit Pro 15, the MPEG-4 codec is an optional activation and subject to a small fee. It's only the "Plus" version where MPEG-4 is already covered and activated for free. (If you paid $80 for it, wouldn't that be

Hi Stefan, It's not a problem that is specific to your burner. The pre-Windows 7 Magix programs generally don't support burning under Windows 7 at this point in time. I can think of different ways to work around the problem, all of which you have

OK. I did not get that, sorry. Let's get the facts straight: 1. You use Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 2. You used to have an external harddrive, which was known as "H" 3. Out of some reason it became "K" somewhen - which hasn't anything to do

Hi Brian, On Movie Edit Pro 14, you wouldn't have to rename the MOD files to MPG. Just make sure you have the MPEG-2 codec and Dolby Digital Stereo decoder activated (via "Help" => "Activate additional functions") and these files will show up

Are .mod files really .mpg files? That is something you need to ask JVC... renaming a file can destroy its structure, it is possible that the MPEG2.DLL cannot read the format... yet you have fooled Windows in thinking the format is

I have a JVC that records in .MOD and .MOI.  I was using cyberlink, but got fed up as it always jammed up.  I was told to change the file name to .MPG, but when I try to open in Magix it gives me the error above and has to close. Any
