the background noise is what it sounds like when your lead is loose in the amp, but no leads are loose and its a problem in the software itself can anyone help? if it helps i am using magix music studio 2013 and recording software is realtek hd

You can plug your guitar into a mic input, but you should definately use a transformer to match impedences. There are many high (guitar impedence) to low (mic level) plug ins for this. Or just use a direct box. I could suggest a lot of better
