Flickering Problem on my Burned DVD
I just completed a vacation travelogue DVD project using Movie Edit Pro Premium. The completed film is 1hr:47min long, consisting of 28 individual films (rendered in MEP) of various lengths. When I play the DVD on my home system, I am getting a lot

After using this device for a few weeks and transcribing quite a few films via a dvd/vcr combo, I suddenly find the input signal is grossly distorted. i.e. the colour is virtually a monochrome blue tint with a few flashes of colour. I have checked

[Closed] NTSC film standard editing bugs
The NTSC film standard is approximately 23.976 fps, but exactly 24000/1001. In addition the standard DVD frame size is 720x480 with either 4:3 aspect ratio, or 16:9. This poses difficulties for MEP. When selecting AVI output, if the codec is

RE: Where can I find a manual for DVD ARCHITECT ??
I'm going to export my film from VPX using the "Intermediate CODEC" rendering option. Then try to import into DVD_Architect to make a BluRay with a menu. For some reason VPX slows to a crawl (10-hours) when trying to render H.265 (HEVC) and MP4

is this the right software for me?
I was given this software to make movies. My goal is to put together the 23 short clips taken on Christmas day with my video camera. I don't want quick clips or background music. I just want to weave the various clips end to end to make a final

RE: OT: DVD menu appearance when played on PC
@terrypin Hi Terry . . . . I don’t fully understand is why this happens only with the menus . . . . As I see it, menus, unless containing active video, are static images incorporated into a very short video, as low as 1 frame, clip ie the first VOB

RE: DVD playback question
The most common reasons I find for dvds skipping or freezing on other players when they are fine on mine are:- 1) They rarely use their dvd player and the lens needs cleaning and/or fine dust has accumulated inside the player. 2) Recordable dvds are

RE: Uploading PAL SD 4:3 to YouTube AND Mastering an old DVD Master
Hi Seamus. I assume you've seen YT's own recommendations on this page? I've never uploaded any 4:3 footage to YT so can't comment on the specifics you ask about; my personal inclination would NOT be to crop/resize in VPX, nor to change the ratio on

RE: CBR vs VBR
@jak.willis Personally, I would have to agree with Jeff. DVDs have a maximum resolution of 720x576 pixels if using the PAL system, which is at best only 19% that of an HD TV screen at 1920x1080 if you include the lack of bit depth of the tonal range

RE: DVD vs USB playback for SD video
I film and edit weddings as a major part of my business and deliver on both dvd and usb. Usb gives far sharper images as you can use 1920x1080 HD file sizes but you need to use a bit rate that is appropriate to the length of the video. For example

RE: Loss of audio on finished DVD disc
I was wondering if there's any way to increase the capacity of a DVD to hold more than 1hr 30mins of film footage without affecting the quality of the video? Is this possible? Yes, but only by reducing the bit rate (=quality) of the actual video

RE: Re-render all the film again from beginning to end
It does exist in other video rendering software but when you mix the two with MAGIX Movie Edit Pro, the quality of the picture drops and is noticeable. I remove UOPs from all my DVDs I then send my copy to my ProLiant-MicroServer-Gen8 home network,

RE: Putting a DVD and HEVC file on a DVD+R DL
@johnebaker No. The Add Files option, although working nicely for standard DVD, seems to fail when the target is a DL. At least I never managed to get it to work today. So the DVD content was rendered by itself quite conventionally. I'm working
