RE: Where are the movie-editing instructions for beginners?
Hi Ian, 1. In a fresh project import a video or JPG/BMP. (From either the media pane or by directly dragging from an Explorer folder, my own usual aproach.) 2. Place the orange marker somewhere in the middle. 3. Use the Split mode tool

RE: how to create soft edges around a clip
This is pretty basic stuff! An image is typically a bitmap, such as a photo, drawing, illustration, background, etc. File types include JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG, etc. An image editor is an editor that edits images. Such as Paint, PhotoShop,

RE: More odd Pixelan behaviour
It was important for my project to add a still image of a couple of seconds duration before the start of that video clip. So this problem was a frustrating setback. I worked around it by viewing the first frame of the video clip full screen,

RE: More odd Pixelan behaviour
Terry, I didn't think I could reproduce the problem as the images looked so close. I used a video (mts not avi) on which the ChromaWarp default effect is more obvious than yours. I gave it the default ChromaWarp and put the playback marker at

More odd Pixelan behaviour
I applied the Pixelan Chroma warp default to an AVI video clip. This is a screenshot of the start of the clip in the MEP 2014 monitor full screen: Or for better quality: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4019461/OriginalAVI.jpg I then

RE: More MEP DVD menu bugs
Hi Terry, #5 Buttons I took some time today to see how to change the buttons. They are simply bmp files. Using 2012_beach and Paint, I created the 3 Chapter buttons - beach_submenu, beach_submenu_alpha, and beach_submenu_highlight. The problem

RE: More MEP DVD menu bugs
Hi Terry, Last night before I posted, I went out foraging for firewood. Good King Dave across the street was kind enough to give me some. This morning the house is warm, the sun is shining, the snow is starting to melt in the sun, and it's -2C

Hi, Ok, now I understand...almost. You say that you clicked on "bmp". Where do you see this? When I click on Upload for images and photos, the only choices are jpeg and jpg. So, you have to convert your files if you want to upload them.
