RE: Less-than-ideal audio into audio documentary.
@emmrecs I will think about this. Am not sure how much noise to take off at each pass. Perhaps target a specific sound each time...? Tape hiss for pass one, demon tone pass two, hum pass three...? Will I have any audio left after so many passes?

RE: Thoughts on Sound Forge Pro EQ's vs third party plugins?
However, now you are getting into another subject of noise reduction category tools. With EQ you can reduce some noise but in most instances you are targeting a specific frequency range that the noise is most present. For example 60Hz hum is a

RE: Thoughts on Sound Forge Pro EQ's vs third party plugins?
@Rednroll It depends. Sometimes you have to really think and strategize. You have interviews and mains hum creeps in the audio. Or you convert interviews to digital from tape and there is a lot of noise to clean up, plus hums and harsh tones to

RE: Less-than-ideal audio into audio documentary.
How would this be done. I am sort of new to audio repair and each recording has different issues, some have a continuous tone, others it is hiss, or noisy environs.

Less-than-ideal audio into audio documentary.
I have several digitized interviews from cassette tape that I need to get into shape for an audio documentary. Originally, I just needed the tapes to be good enough for transcription. Now there is interest in arranging the material for others to

John the clip was for demonstration purposes of what happens, just chance I captured that image but the recording is for backup purposes for me only. To make it clear, it was recorded on Magix MEP 2021 on a laptop, and the 'copyright' is my blu-ray

RE: How to record audio as midi.
@Lawrence-Bodien Audio and MIDI are some fundamental different things. Audio describes an amplitude of energy which vibrates the air and is registered by your ear as a sound. MIDI is used to send and receive events that trigger digital music

RE: Musica con Frequencia Hertz
@ROFERLI I understand that the 432 and 440Hz changes are going to be difficult right now. So I will be focusing on trying to solve the tone "thing". The instrument has to be tuned to 432 Hz, not Music Maker. Music Maker just records audio. You say

RE: Musica con Frequencia Hertz
@ROFERLI Thank you for the additional information! What you write makes much more sense now. I'm not sure you can do what you want in Music Maker! The difference in pitch between 432 and 440Hz is less than 1%. In MM, the only option you have, I

Using computer keyboard as MIDI controller - UPDATE
