RE: Unusual quote for my high end PC
Hi Terry The German forum senior members often direct people to this company in Dresden who build several versions of a "Magix" Editing PC:- https://www.winner-dresden.de/c20/videoschnitt-pcs although they do not appear to have a build with the

Hi Terry In my opinion : - Dark Rock Advanced Processor Cooler Not necessary - the case has three 120mm fans in it,  plus the 120mm fan in the PSU and a fan on the AMD card and the sound suppression in the case (nice choice) - with that lot

Unusual quote for my high end PC
My local supplier has come up with a rather significant (and expensive!) variation on the initial spec I tentatively suggested this morning: -------------------- Cooler Master Silencio 652S Case Intel Core i7-6700K 4GHz Processor be quiet!

No absolutely sure-fire suggestions to offer (!), but: What is the format of the video files you are using?  Are they different to what you have used before? Is the Hard Drive where your video files are stored devloping some sort

    RE: GTX 760 2GB OK?
Hi Terry Backups I am pretty lax here. I might say that I have built my new machine as a dedicated Magix Editing workstation and tried to keep it as clean as possible - no browsing, email, and no other programs not directly related to editing.

    RE: GTX 760 2GB OK?
Hi Peter, Thanks a bunch, great deal of helpful advice there. What is your backup procedure? As I understand it you have all your OS stuff (\Windows, \Docs & settings, drivers, etc) plus all \Program Files on the SSD, which I assume

Hi . . . . When I try to export my songs in an audio format it exports them double times longer than I make them . . . . Is there some 'quiet space' at the end of the audio files when you play them? Do the audio files play at the correct

RE: Mains hum from mic input
Hi Terry . . . . I should enable Normalize after recording? . . . . Yes, this raises the volume level while ensuring that the maximum peak level does not exceed 0dB, AFAICS the normalisation method in MEP is using peak detection and not

RE: Mains hum from mic input
Hi Terry . . . . These recorded narrative clips may vary in recorded volume. (Heard on immediate playback.) I'd like them all to be roughly equal in volume before I proceed. . . . . That is what normalising is for - it detects the

RE: Disable automatic volume adjust - how?
Ok, I think I understand much better. I presume that your problem happens only in an export or DVD, not on the timeline. Can you confirm that? As far as I know, MEP mixes down all of the sound and normalizes it. Normalization raises the

RE: i just got the MAGIX Samplitude Music Studio 2014. I am still trying to figure everything out but i was wondering if there were any recommendations on a good vocal mic to use and how do i record using an acoustic/electr guitar?
Hi Recommending a particular microphone for recording vocals and acoustic guitar is actually difficult.  Microphones have different tonal characteristics dependent on their type, make and construction which make this very much a personal

Hi, It that is your intended use, then you could play the playlist on  your computer in a quiet room and record it susing a audio recorder like the one in windows or there are many others out there.  It would still be a violation of copyright,

ACL 17 - Echo occurs when importing from internet radio.
I found a radio station that plays great music. However, when I try to import it into Magix, I get an echo, almost like someone is singing backup. It is very noticable on quiet passages. I'm using Vista.

Whoa! That's a novel approach. "Destructive" editing of the original file. Hmm I can try it, but the problem seems to be in how the program itself acts upon the file, not the file itself. As I said, it doesn't matter how I trimmed the file

How to delete a clip and close up the gap...

geo234, Sorry I'm not much of an audio tech, but I don't think there is anything in MEP to auto adjust clips to the same level. After all, what if you do have genuinely quiet clips and very loud ones in you mix? Only suggestion is to try
