RE: Export from ProX to mp4 file and get a green screen
Actually 2 were HD camcorders and the other two were phones set to record in HD. I was going to ask in a separate comment if there is some way in VPX13 to do some "automatic" color matching between cameras rather than fiddling around with the color

RE: MPEG-2 to MPEG-4
@jak.willis Hi The degree of loss depends on the video format you start with and resolution, eg for one transcode and taking the two extremes: an uncompressed or lightly compressed video format, the loss of quality will be minimised if you are

RE: Creating fade outs and ins
Hi Ray, Actually, the audio is a separate file because I like to record the audio separately rather than put it on the camcorder (which my camcorder does allow me to do). That way I can record the audio at 24 bit resolution, rather than 16 bit, so

RE: MPEG-4 Encoding - 7-Hours!
Have you tried externally converting the footage from the camcorder to a constant bitrate? I have never converted files to a constant bitrate. In fact, I would advise against doing so, as you will be re-encoding the video and inducing generation

MPEG-4 Encoding - 7-Hours!
Hi, I have a 24 minute video that I have edited in MEP and when I start the export, the calculated encoding time is over 7 hours-long. The source files used for editing are AVCHD MTS files that came from a Panasonic camcorder. The resolution of the

I have just purchased Magix Movie Studio 18 and was using 17. I am inserting video clips from my Sony FDR AX33B camcorder. The video looks good, but the audio is poor quality and not balanced in pan, the raw clip sounds great by itself in other

RE: chroma key: how to get rid of green or grey fringe around the subject
Hey Ray, John thanks for all your comments and nice pictures, Ray :-) Yes, a dedicated camcorder seems like a good idea. One that is best for green screen. It would have to have a good auto focus, or else i focus on the place where i will act and

Part of another software
Is it possible that this software could be part of another Magix software? I have windows 10 64 bit and the Video easy Rescue still works. But the camcorder needs some help. The recording is good but chappy when putting it through Video easy Rescue.

RE: chroma key: how to get rid of green or grey fringe around the subject
@johnebaker @kate-m I like sparring with John verbally as we often seem to have equally valid but opposing views and I think (hope) a mutual respect for the others point of view. I agree a camcorder is capable of obtaining a good stills image. I

RE: chroma key: how to get rid of green or grey fringe around the subject
@CubeAce, @kate-m Hi Kate, Ray . . . . Dedicated camcorders are much better for video but quite poor for stills. . . . . I totally agree that a dedicated video camera is the best option - a DSLR is a still camera, with the addition of the capablity

RE: chroma key: how to get rid of green or grey fringe around the subject
@kate-m Hi Kate. I take it you mean the shallow dof (Depth Of Field) and silky bokeh that can be the hallmark of some cinematic experiences. 😎. While a full frame camera with lots of photo-sites can be ideal for stills due to the resolution, 4K

@Pennyglen Hi Glen. I think it could be one of two possibilities. The most obvious one is most people get their 4K video clips from their phones rather than a dedicated camcorder. Such files are often recorded at a variable frame rate that video
