  Hi @john_barr, AFAIK, it is not possible to lock channels as the default.. which would be my preference as well. As a half-ass workaround I created a keyboard shortcut to toggle it on (or off) (Edit.LockChannelSelection) .

  @Ozy With Sound Forge Pro Suite(!) also comes SpectraLayers Pro which you can use for denoising. Check Steinberg's website for more information. You can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to fine tune the sliders.
