Захвата видео с VHS камеры в AVI

Ukenada wrote on 2/27/2017, 7:02 AM

Google translate: Faced with such a problem: when capturing Magix video packages video to mpg, and I need to AVI format. Who knows how to solve the problem? I would not want to convert the file 100 times .. And there is no capture settings AVI container selection function.

In order to be able to answer we need rather more detail, I think. Which version of MEP (assuming that is what you are using)? Capture from what, VHS or similar tape, your camera? If it is your camera, what make and model is it?

There are many other things we will need to know from you but this information will be a useful start.

Google translator is very bad translation of technical terms ((

I figure with the analog VHS video recorder via a USB TV tuner Madzhiks program. And I need a video format AVI.

So I asked for help, how to choose the AVI?

A painted, I hope the picture we understand each other:

Thank you for the explanation and especially the picture.

Please look at the screenshot below. I think you are choosing the option with the green box. Try using the option with the red box. (Hopefully your Record screen looks the same as mine.)

All that was the.

Оption with the red box - there is an error, as the need DV camera, and I have an analog.

I understand that there is the program to capture directly to AVI?
So it is necessary to keep in MXV, and then convert to AVI.

I think your "USB TV Tuner" should be outputting a digital signal so Movie Edit Pro should see it as a DV Camera.

Hi

So it is necessary to keep in MXV, and then convert to AVI.

Correct, MXV is a very low compressed intermediate format so ideal for conversion to another format, with minimal losses. Capture and edit with MXV and then export the project to AVI with Magix MEP using uncompressed AVI or with one of the compression codecs available in MEP > Export to AVI.

Hi

@ emmrecs

. . . . "USB TV Tuner" should be outputting a digital signal so Movie Edit Pro should see it as a DV Camera. . . . .

Unfortunately not - the DV Camera option expects a camera attached by Firewire or USB via the camera manufacturers supplied transfer program which allows transfer of DV over USB.

A USB TV Tuner appears as the same type of device as a USB analog to digital video converter.

Hi John. Thanks for this, but it raises a question in my mind.

I have a Canopus ACEDVio internal card for converting analogue video to digital. MEP/VPX sees this in the DV camera screen as an "AV/C Tape Recorder/Player"; no firewire or USB connection to any camera. So how does this work?

Hi Jeff

Probably did not make it clear enough that I was referring to a "USB TV Tuner"

Internal cards are not in the same class of device as USB devices.

Assuming you have installed the Canopus software , then the most likely explanation is it is being presented as a DV device to enable any program accessing it to be able to also control the TV tuner i.e. change channels etc?

Can you control the device from within MEP/VPX?

I have a Happauge USB TV tuner and it appears only as a USB device and has to be selected as an Analogue device.

An older internal Canopus TV Tuner card I have cannot be tested - no drivers for Windows 10 and the Windows 7 drivers do not work in 10.

Hi John, thanks for this.

No, no Canopus software installed at any time. I previously used this same card under Win XP, Win 7 and now Win 10, always just Plug and Play. Technically, I think, it is not a tuner card but rather an A>D convertor.

In terms of controlling it, there is really no "control" needed. VPX sees it as a DV Camera and its input is converted to digital, if needed, and passed directly to VPX (and MEP when I used it) as a recordable digital stream. Since I sometimes also need to transfer Hi-8 and or DV-AVI from camera to computer then, using the built-in (to the card) firewire port, I can control the attached camera from the computer, (setting VPX to begin the transfer automatically starts playback from the camera).

This whole area is very confusing! To me, a USB connection (of any kind) suggests "digital". Clearly, in the case of your Hauppage device, this is not the case. We live and learn.

I looked at USB TV tuner is only defined as an analog device. So I can not choose as a DV camera.

Why in AVI format - I need it for further video processing in the program VideoEnhancer..
