First, can we be clear exactly which product you are using, please? You've posted to the Movie Edit Pro area of the forum but then mention magix video pro, which could indicate Video Pro X.
Then, please tell us exactly which version of the software you have (you can check under Help>About) and, if MEP, which variant.
Then please tell us exactly which 3D effect you are wanting to use.
With that level of information, along with some details about your computer, we may be able to offer advice to you. (Reading your posting history, I see I asked you for exactly this information about your computer back in 2019. The need is still there!)
In Windows Graphics setting - Movie Edit Pro (MEP) is set to use the Power saving GPU ie the Intel UHD 630 as shown below
In the program settings the Intel UHD 630 is selected as shown below
the 2 Hardware acceleration options in the Import/Export tab are checked.
If you do not see the Intel GPU in any of the settings above it may be disabled in the BIOS - it must be enabled and a monitor must be plugged in to the onboard video GPU - it only has to be detected however :-.
if you have a single monitor - and it has a second input connect this to the onboard monitor connection and check that Windows, Display, Multiple Displays setting is set to Duplicate - this will stop you losing the mouse off one edge of the screen
if you are working with dual monitors plug one into the onboard monitor connection and and check that Windows, Display, Multiple Displays setting is set to Extend - you may need to set which monitor is the Primary display.
If this is a laptop then the issue becomes more complicated - depending on the manufacturer and make/model it may have a GPU setting for 'Hybrid mode' - if you do not have a monitor plugged in to the external monitor socket and then you need a Headless Ghost monitor emulator with the correct plug to activate the iGPU
What was used to record the source files? If you can download the program MediaInfo and use it to show the embedded data from the video clip or clips using the Text View from the files and we can look to see if there are any compatibility issues with the files themselves.
The data from the files should look like this.

That will allow us to look for any problems with bit rates or frame rates or codec problems.
The more information you can give us the less we have to guess. So far we have no idea of what drives you are using or the speeds or free capacity. What created the files or what type of encoding was used, length and resolution of your project. Any of which could have a bearing or be contributing to the problem.
The specification of your machine (as much as we have of it) should be more than adequate so something is very wrong somewhere.
Sorry it has taken so long but eventually I decided to try them for myself.
After exhaustive tests using the 3D Decorative Basic templates at a lot of various frame rates and resolutions that the program freezes and becomes completely unresponsive having to be shut down via the task manager.
I have not tried other 3D titles such as the animated ones but suspect some other effects are also not holding such as Simple Geometry and Popular Shapes.
I messaged John Baker and he said he had tried but could not replicate the problem.
So I looked for differences between John's system and my system which is closer to your system specs than Johns' is.
Tried a few other things. The result is I got it to work.
I managed to get a 3D title to not only go onto the timeline edited but then saved the project with no freeze of the program and it reopened all in tact.
What I did is removed Movie Edit Pro from the graphics settings in Windows 10. That's it.
Try it and see if it cures your problem as well. It still works fine using both GPUs as before and has no impact on export times or smoothness of playback.
I'll cross my fingers for you.
If it works I'm assuming there has been yet another Windows 10 update that has somehow altered the way the work is distributed within the MEP program, possibly only hitting those systems using more than six processor cores.
I'm glad you brought it to my attention as I didn't even know I was suffering the same problem.
The reverse of what John Baker told you to do earlier.
Settings \ System \ (scroll to bottom of that page) Graphics settings, which takes you to the settings image I posted above. Just click and select remove.
I also wiped out my computer and put a fresh copy of Windows 10 on then loaded movie edit pro on my system it is the only thing on the computer, still no luck
