3d looks great on my panasonic X900M, but can't get it to look right in MEP even after buying another codec. Which 3D settings do I need in MEP?

Oh I should add I have a Panasonic passive 3D TV... new.

The weird thing is when I plugged the camera into the TV USB and played the file it looked really 3D. After I copied the .MTS file onto my computer and played it, it didn't look any more 3D than standard videos look when the TV is set for 3D.

I have tried rendering (exporting) in several different formats with several different settings, there must be something I am missing here but I don't know what. What settings for output in MEP? How can the file not look like it did when playing it off my computer as opposed to playing it off the camera attached to the TV USB?

I will keep trying different things but so far no luck.

Thanks for the responses, yeah I am convinced it has to do with my video card... nothing else it could be so I have 2 other computers I will check it on and also check the settings on the original one.

Hi

. . . . but can't get it to look right in MEP even . . . .

What do you mean by this?

Are you using a 3D monitor and glasses?

. . . . after buying another codec . . . .

Which codec?

. . . panasonic X900M . . . .

Are you using the 3D adapter lens for recording or the built in '2D to 3D' camera conversion ?

I have some test files from Panasonic from one of their 3D cameras and have no issue in creating a 3D Blu-ray disc which plays correctly on my BD player and 3D TV.

John

Hi:

Thanks

Yes as I said I have a Panasonic 3d TV (passive) as my monitor, and of course the glasses. I was using the adapter lens for the camera. What I hope to do is be able to render these in 3D, I hardly ever burn discs any more.

I played the video clip directly from the camera to the TV and it was awesome, but not so when I copied the mts file to the computer.

I am not sure which 3D settings to use with this... new to the 3D video ...

Thanks again,

Eric

Hi

Assuming your computer graphics card supports 3D and the computer is connected to the TV via HDMI or DL-DVI then you need to check the following:

Check the graphics card settings are set to output a 3D signal on the HDMI or DL-DVI port
