I have downloaded and installed the software for Magix Movie Studio Suite. When I go to the get the activation code , I get an error message that says
Error activating No activation could be created; please try again later.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas of how to fix this?

Activation is done online from within the program by entering the P3- prefixed serial number you should have in the original confirmation of purchase email you received - copy and paste the entire number including the P3- prefix..
If you are trying to redeem a voucher code then there may be an issue with the registration/activation server, in which case try again later.
