When I try to activate MEP2015 Plus, I keep getting the error message, online connection cannot be established, check for Firewall blocking access. I have totally disabled the firewall and tried many other solutions. Is there another way to activate? Can it be done from another computer or by phone? I have Windows 8.1 64bit

On the registration popup dialog there should be a link (bottom left IIRC) for activation by email.
Follow the instructions through.
If after registering the program MEP cannot connect to the Internet to get updates and, if you have the download version, the second part of the program ie Free downloads, then you do need to sort out what is blocking MEP - it could be your Anti Virus program that is doing the blocking.
