Hey everybody

with the purchase of Movie edit Pro 2020 i received several third party plugins.

Does anybody maybe know how to activate them?

The plugins i received are the following:

proDAD ReSpeedr 1.0

NewBlue Filters 5 Recreate

NewBlue Titler Pro 6

NewBlue Elements 3 Ultimate

Thanks :-)

Kate

My last order for MEP was for MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2022 Premium on 7th September 2021

For me, this came with NewBlue Filters 5 Ultimate, among other items.

In the confirmation email, that I backed up, under the NewBlue Filters 5 Ultimate entry (and some others) it has a coupon code for that product.

According to that same email: “You can activate your NewBlue Filters 5 Ultimate directly via the Movie Edit Pro Premium interface under 'Help'> 'Activate content pack(s)'.”

When you click on 'Activate content pack(s)', that’s where you enter any coupon codes. Then you can install them under effects > Extra Effects

I found another email pertaining to ReSpeedr. In this one, the email contained a link that I had to use to request the activation code. That link was valid for 90 days from the sending of that email. I dare say that your confirmation email might be more than 90 days old. For that, you probably have to send an email to infoservice@magix.net to see if there is anything they can do.

Hey Promidi,

i activated the NewBlue NewBlue Titler Pro 6 and the NewBlue Elements 3 Ultimate directly via the Movie Edit Pro Premium interface under 'Help'> 'Activate content pack(s)', as you have suggested. Then i restarted my computer, but it couldn't not open Movie Edit Pro Premium. So i shut down my computer again and restarted it, but it will not open Movie Edit Pro Premium. Now i wonder if i should download Movie Edit Pro Premium anew from the link i got in the email when i bought it back in 2020. But i have projects i'm working on and i hope i can still open and work on them again?

What to do?

Any ideas?

Thanks :-)

This sounds like a separate issue and you might want to start a new thread for this one.

I have never had this happen with any version of MEP (Up to 2022) - even after installing third party plugins. It always just worked. My PC is configured as per my signature.

When you start your new thread, you might want to mention your PC specs, which version of windows. and any error messages that appear (if any)

I suspect a couple of things that might be suggested it to perform all Windows updates and update your hardware drivers (using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates)

I think if you downloaded and ran the installer, it will offer to uninstall MEP and then you can reinstall it from there. As I mentioned, this has never happened on my PC - so I cannot really talk from experience.

Hey Promidi,

thanks for your quick answer.

Yes, that's a good idea: I will start a new thread, but i wanted to answer you back. I wonder if i uninstall MEP and reinstall it, i may lose all the projects i'm working on? So i'm afraid to do that.

Do you think that might happen?

Thanks :-)

Kate
