Adjusting Gamma using number box fails

terrypin wrote on 7/20/2017, 11:27 AM

I have a single JPG on the timeline of a new movie. In Video effects > Brightness/Contrast I reduce its Gamma level with the slider to 40 (I like round numbers). But on releasing the mouse it reverts to 39. Consistently. It seems 40 is a verboten number.

So I enter 40 manually and press the Enter key. The 40 remains displayed. (Unlike using the Tab key, my habitual choice, which doesn't need my mouse hand). But on returning focus to the timeline window the 40 reverts to the zero default. In fact any entry made manually doesn't work.

Hi Terry

If you are referring to MEPP the numbers stick as adjusted using the slider or entered numerically followed by the Enter key - 40 'ist nicht verboten', however there is a behaviour change - the Tab key moving to the next entry box no longer works in some of the effects dialogs, eg Brightness contrast, Size/position or behaves as the Enter key and does not move to the next entry box eg Colour correction

IIRC we have had a discussion about this behaviour with MEP 2016 which was not fixed.

Morning John,

You're right, sorry, I forgot I'd posted this:

Anyway, pleased to hear it's fixed in MEPP - I should have tried it.
