I just got a new computer, and tried to reinstall Sound Forge 6.0. When I run it, it asks for the serial number, and always tells me that the serial number is invalid. What can I do?
Use the same email address you used when it was initially registered with Sonic Foundry (or Sony).
SF-6 is ancient, you should consider a newer version. As I recall SF-6 did not even support VST plug-ins (at least w/o a wrapper). Other than that, the UI of newer versions are basically the same, so re-learning is not much of an issue

2002 was a very long time before Magix acquired the ACID product line from SCS. Hence, Magix are extremely unlikely to have any record of your purchase.
