After the newest update Magix Music Maker keeps crashing upon opening

Tom-Cutmore wrote on 4/11/2021, 5:18 AM

I have been using Magix for a number of years now, in which I find the simplicity, and the multi-technicality of the app brilliant! However, after the most recent update (29.9 I think; but it was installed 2 days ago), won't remain open for more than 10 seconds. Also, when attempting to open a file that has opened previously; or exporting it, the app freezes and crashes. I have tried to restore it to a previous version, however I cannot even with the correct procedures done.

@Tom-Cutmore

To uninstall update use the free Revo uninstaller to remove everything including registry entries and then re-install previous version,

@Tom-Cutmore

Hi

From your post were you originally using an earlier version of Music Maker and then updated to version 29.0.x.xx?

If so the v29 is running as a free version and may have issues with previous projects making it crash - see this comment on how to get back to a full working version and do note the comment regarding ignoring the update message.
