AI offline ?

Hello !
I am very interested in purchasing Video pro X17, but first I have a technical question:
I need it to restore old videos using the AI upscale feature, but I know that, usually, that kind of AI feature requires an internet connection
However, for privacy reasons, I use a computer that is not connected to the internet for work.
Of course, I can connect it temporarily to download and register the software, but after that, I wish to use it off line.
I would therefore like to know if it is possible to use the AI features entirely locally, and if so, how?
Thank you in advance !

@the_franz

Hi

Video Pro X17 does not have AI upscaling, are you thinking of Vegas Pro 22, which does have AI upscaling, also from Magix?

Vegas Pro has its own forum, link is at the bottom of the page, for further enquiries I would suggest you post your question(s) there.

Thanks for your reply.
Sorry, I wasn't very clear: I was referring to the “AI sharpness” feature.

(I don't know the exact name in English, the site is in French for me ^^)

EDIT : That said, I didn't know about Vegas Pro 22. If it has this feature, I'm interested. So, I'll ask the same question: does it work offline?

@the_franz

Hi

In Video Pro X17 the “AI sharpness” does not need to be online.

The only features that need to be online are those in the Magix Hub, such as Text to speech.

If you are capturing/digitising VHS, Super 8 or Hi 8 recordings I would advise looking at Vegas Pro for the AI Upscaling feature, it gives a much better rendering than the options and workarounds required by current versions of VPX. Perhaps @AAProds may like to chip in on this

Hopefully VPX will get AI Upscaling in the future.

Thank you for your reply about VPX!

OK, I'll look into the AI upscaling feature in Vegas Pro.
But do you know if it works offline as well?
