I have purchased an animation from the site suggested in the Movie Edit Pro (Producer Planet). It is in my download folder. How do I get it into Movie edit pro so that I can use it?

Which one did you purchase?
Many of the animations are video clips - if yours is one of these you can put it anywhere - I have mine in a Resources/Video loops folder within the Magix projects folder.
To use it drag it on to the timeline.

It is an MP4. I was able to put it in a folder and drag and drop it into the timeline, but I can’t edit the text. Was there supposed to be a separate file? Very confusing. I also copied it to the “introOutro” folder and created. a JPG for the Ivan, and it still doesn’t show up in the animations section under templates.
It was purchased from producer planet.

I'm pretty sure you can't alter text in a video file.
If the video is with text then that is it.
If it is just the background with no text then there should be a separate file or several separate files.
