Apparently I am not communicating

First , my camera is not destroying anything.   The system (MAGIX PRO 15) was working beautifully until last week. Now it is very temperamental. Previously I was loading files and linking them together as I imported them.
NOW the system no longer works that way. The procedures you outline are great when the software is functioning properly.   Unfortunately, at this stage things are haywire.  I am thinking the best solution for me is to purchase new software from another supplier.

My questions are not covered in the manuals and my inquiries seem to be futile. I thank you for your answers but so far I still have no solution and can find no none locally who has ever used MAGIX. I suppose I'll chalk it up to experience.

Windows 7 64 bit

MAGIX PRO 15

The bottom line is that I have a project that is way past deadline.

Don,

On the contrary, I think you're communicating too much!

You're not helping yourself by repeatedly opening new threads instead of simply replying in the original one of 28th November.

In that, on 29th November I asked for clarification on a key point and so far have not received your reply.

Hi,

I agree with Terry, one thread will get you better results than posting the same question multiple times.  At some point a moderator will see this and delete all of you other posts.  Stick with one thread and be a little more specific such as what are your computer specs.  You may think that they are not relevant, but they are.  You say "first my camera is not destroying anything"  what does that have to do with editing?  Then you say "The system (MAGIX PRO 15) was working beautifully until last week. Now it is very temperamental. Previously I was loading files and linking them together as I imported them. NOW the system no longer works that way.  Are you running Magix movie edit pro 2015?  Well that product does not even exist.  What product are you really using?  Then you say "The procedures you outline are great when the software is functioning properly.   Unfortunately, at this stage things are haywire.  I am thinking the best solution for me is to purchase new software from another supplier."  What the hell is that?  Is it some sort of threat?  Well just to be clear, none of us here on this forum work for Magix.  we are all just user like you, but we are users with a hell of alot of expereince.  If you want to go and buy another product, then just go and do it.  I suggest that you buy the Adobe product, then you will see what crappy software actually does and how you will never get support from the company or the user forum.  If you want to stick with the software you have purchased, then I suggest that you stop with your threats and ask an intellient question, in which case you will get an intellient response.

Hi

And there is no consistency in what the issue and/or no reply to a specific question that has been asked.

Post 1 . . . .I switched from "record" to  "edit" mode . . . .I have repeated the procedure at least three times with other takes and "edit" does not respond . . . .

Post 2 . . . . I am taking time to make sure all completed files are exported BEFORE  I reinstall . . . .

Post 3 . . . . Now when I import I get a prompt  that asks if I want to add  a new project. . . . .

From each of the above posts the following can be deduced:

1.   You are following a specific workflow pattern and are having an issue

2.   You must be in editing mode to export the video

3.   You are trying to combine projects not add video to the timeline.

As you can see this and repeatedly making new posts is causing confusion trying to follow the thread of what the issue actually is.

If the re-install did not fix anything then I suspect the problem is elsewhere - either in the project(s) you have already saved or the problem is related to your PC/Antivirus software/Camera software..

What happens if you start a new project and import 2 or 3 video files (not projects, takes or fresh recordings from the camera)  which are already saved on your computer - preferably ones used in previous projects which you know worked?

Reply back in this topic so we keep a consistent thread going.

Also supply the following information - the full specification of your computer, the make/model of the camera and how you are connecting it to the computer and confirm that you are using Movie Edit Pro 15, ie the version released in 2009, and which version it is ie Basic, Plus or Premium.

Help us help you by supplying this information.

John

@John, you are such a diplomat and way too nice.  I have given up on this user with his or her outrageous comment, thereatining demands etc.  let him buy another product, I hope the Adobe product and see how much help he gets their asking these rediculous questions. As far as i am concerned, he or she can just........
