Applying a LUT zooms the clip

I'm using Video Pro X12 to apply a LUT to a clip but, when I do, the video zooms way in (example below). It behaves the same if I apply the LUT via the clip Object Properties >> Video >> Camera Lookup Table.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is there a better way to use LUTs on VP X12? Thanks in advance!

Ok, I have discovered that this only affects LUTs in the LUTCamera folder (even the built-in .cube files), but if they are moved to the LUTEffect folder they work just fine. So, this is a good workaround I guess.

I'm surprised that there is no built in LUT plugin in VP X that allows the interpolation and strength to be adjusted. Unfortunately, the free VisionColor plugin doesn't work in VP X or MEP/MS.

Hi

LUTS are basically colour remapping files, you can create your own in VPX by using the colour correction tools and brightness/contrast effects and save these as a custom LUT.

This is detailed in the PDF manual, pp 181 - 183, available under Help in the program.
