Arrow graphic

Hi, Is it possible to overlay an Arrow onto a video frame to last for 2-3 seconds? The purpose it to point to an object in the video.

I looked through the software and the manual (which just brings up function arrows). I tried unsuccessfully to overlay a screenshot of an arrow, but even though the original is tiny, it covered about 80% of the frame. And the white background was included. I couldn't see a way to decrease the size on the video.

Thanks.

Kami

P.S. What's the m and n by "I want to follow this post" Which is Yes?

Hi Kami

. . . . Is it possible to overlay an Arrow onto a video frame to last for 2-3 seconds? The purpose it to point to an object in the video. . . .

There are many arrows under Templates tab, Image objects, Present.

You will have to ungroup it from the video to change its time, size and position etc.

Hi Kami,

you can visit Google.com website see the picture and search arrow transparent background png picture. Import on timeline track over the video track and select the picture and resize and position it. This is the way to create fast using drawing from google.

I found a few arrows under "Present," but they're all horizontal. I was able to rotate, shrink and save it in the photo editor, but I didn't see the command to save and replace in MEP. And I don't know where it saved my edited arrow (it's not with the other templates). Not able to manage anything else with it, incl. delete. I guess this is one of my "dense" functions. 🙃

Hi Kami

. . . . I was able to rotate, shrink and save it in the photo editor . . .

That is not necessary, follow these steps once you have applied the arrow:

  1. Ungroup the arrow from the video

  2. use Size & Position to resize the arrow

  3. use Rotation/mirror to rotate the arrow.
