Audio in new MEP 2014

Kami_1 wrote on 9/20/2013, 3:17 PM

I'm trying out MEP 2014.

Before I start "playing" with it, I'd like to hear the audio and see the Waveform.

My computer audio is on.

The original video has sound, very loud sound.

In preferences, I selected Import Waveform.  I closed and reopened the software, imported original mpg's for testing, but I still do not hear any sound and do not have the "waves."

I set the audio to be on a separate track because I always have to edit out noise.

I tried the buttons to the left of the timeline.  No difference.

I checked in Storybook mode to make sure the audio isn't set to Mute.

What have I missed?

Kami,

I've had similar problems but only with a some sample .M2T files. GSpot says the container is 'File Type: MPEG-2 Transport Stream Mime Type: video/mp2t', but the audio info panel is empty. My usual HD mpg files load and display their audo waveforms ok as well as every .MOV and .AVI I've tried.

The M2T files in question load, display waveform and play properly in MEP 2013.

Regards,

Carl

Mine are ordinary mpg files (standard def).  Audio and wave forms are normal in MEP MX Premium.

According to the MEP 2014 audio fix function, there is no audio present.

How did you do the update, Carl?  I downloaded the trial again (4 days after the original).  It did a "repair," and it's same version as before.... still no audio.  I also had to extend the trial again.

I had tried that.  It won't let me.  It asks for a Serial Number.  It won't accept the trial registration number.

Hi Kami

When it asks for the serial number click the (IIRC) Continue trial button - it should go through and let you download the update.

Thanks John, that worked this time.  I had tried it yesterday or the day before, but when I hit continue trial ("test program), it had returned me to the program.  In fact, that's what it began to do this time, but after a few seconds, it asked me if I wanted to update.

I already found a Bug, one I never saw before.  Is there a link to report them?  I'll mention it in another thread.

Thanks again,

Kami
