Audio offset (MEP 2016 premium)

Hi,

This problem is a first for me. Video, audio and text frame, whether or not grouped, about 3/4 into the 33 sec. clip. SD - Variable bit rate. Audio offset is at zero; I even tried "reset."

With the Export (mpg), the audio is heard several seconds before the video it applies to and the text is seen. The text is lined up correctly.

This happens with mpg (which I usually use) and mp4, but is correct with wmv.

As with most of my videos (all of those I record outdoors), I delete audio when is full of only noise. I keep audio with my voice and audio which I want. This video has only 3 small audio objects.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Kami

Hi Kami_1,

What format are the video files you are importing? If they are mpg, have you tried the option to "recreate Frame Table"? I'm not at all sure doing this will correct your problem, unfortunately, but I think we need to eliminate any possible cause.

I assume you work in Timeline mode and that all your audio clips are correctly placed on the timline before you begin the export?

Final desperate suggestion: have you tried changing the Audio Offset to something other than 0? If I remember correctly, the figure there can be "almost anything" (within reason) either positive or negative.

Thanks! Imports are mpgs. I'll try the recreate Frame Table. I do work on the timeline. Re the offset, I wouldn't know how much to change it (or even positive or negative).

Recreating the frame table didn't help. Then I tried a few settings with the audio offset. That didn't work either, and clipped off the beginning of the 1 second audio. The first try was with about 30 frames, and that clipped off just about all the audio. I finally manually dragged the audio past where the text title was, and then they came together.
