Audio vanishes when editing in MEP2015

I posed this question recently but perhaps I need to explain it more clearly. I have a video that I am editng and one of the scenes is 18 minutes long and needs editing. When I try anything - delete start, delete end, split etc - I lose the audio. If I go back to the preceding scene I can pick up that audio and also in the new edited scene. But if I jump to any other part of the editied scene the audio has vanished. It appears happily in Timeline mode but will not play. I have tried, with my limited knowledge, to fix this and read other questions but I cannot solve this problem. Can anyone help? I really need to solve this asap. Thanks. PS: I'm using Windows 7 with MEP 2015 Plus.

Hi Prudie,

Do you have the most recent patch (14.0.0.166)? Check for an update.

Do you have the audio and video showing on separate tracks? (Ctrl+H) Then create waveform Shift+E.

Now what happens to the audio part when you press on T somewhere along an object? Does the sound track disappear? Same with using Z and U to trim front and back?

If the sound envelope is stil there, does it get muted or is the volume decreased to the bottom?

Press on M and watch the sound display in the mixer for the track. Any movement?

Try Create (new) frame table (right-click on the object, first item on the list). Repeat the exercise. Results?
