Using MEP Premium 2022, when I click on the lighting button next to the movie in the timeline it says Start Preview Rendering, I click and wait, and nothing happens, I do this over and over, this is supposed to be the easy automatic way to do this, what am I doing wrong? Thanks
@corvette61 Hi, you need to have a selection made first, right & left click at the top of the timeline, or just click on the brackets at the bottom of the preview screen until you get a blue line across the top of the timeline & at the bottom of the preview screen, this is the 'Range'
PS, the small play button in brackets at the bottom of the preview screen next to the bigger play button loop plays the range if Play movie in loop mode is ticked in the Movie settings, this allows you to just preview a selection of the timeline,
you can also just export the Range if the choice is made in the export dialogue window,

Don't rely on auto. It will scan and then often decide it doesn't need doing. Instead use your [ ] range markers to select a desired area to pre-render and select 'Range' from the resulting options. When it does work it will only render sections of a project as needed as appose to the whole project.
