Autoplayback after adding or adjusting fade

Hello all,

My issue is an irritant rather than a bug. I'd like to know how to stop MEP from automatically playing back a short section of video after I add or adjust a fade.

As it is currently operating, I add or adjust a fade and the program jumps to (seemingly) random locations to play for about 5 seconds. Rarely is the played section where the fade was placed.

How can I stop this auto playback altogether?

Thanks for your suggestions.

@Kris-Roberson

Speaking personally, I would not want to remove this "autoplay" feature; I really want to check that the transition is exactly what I want, or if I need to adjust the type of transition, length of transition, etc., etc.

However, I believe the answer to your request is in the setting shown in this screenshot:

Simply untick the highlighted box.

However, I am a little concerned when you say the programs jumps to seemingly random locations and rarely is the played section where the fade was placed. That should most definitely NOT be happening. Once you have selected your fade there should be a blue "range" marker over the transition, from a few seconds before to a few seconds after; that is the "autoplay" region. Do you see that appear above the timeline?

Which exact version and variant of MEP do you have? You can check the version number under Help>About.

Thanks!

It's a personal preference, as you note.

Thanks for the information!
