@Stephen-Wilkinson4993 SoundForge for MAC doesn't work on Big Sur and there is no update planned that it ever will. Therefore ask infoservice@magix.net for a refund or a Windows version.

Why are they offering this software in their Black Friday offers if it is not a viable download?

They do not have any information saying that it will not run on this OS.

Hi

. . . . They do not have any information saying that it will not run on this OS. . . . .

The discussion over what specifications do and don't say about what a program needs to run has been discussed several times in the various Magix forums.

In a nutshell the specifications tell you what the software does run on, there is no legal or other mandatory requirement to say it does not run on x version of an OS.

In the case of Sound Forge for MAC this is the case - the listed versions of the OS states Meaverick through to Mojave - it does not mention Catalina or BigSur.
