Brand new computer failed, left me without my 1000 free sounds

I had a computer fail after only a week, and now on my new one I cannot download the free 1000 sounds which came with Music maker , it says my coupon has been used (of course) and it says the download is done, but it is not on this computer, how do I get them back?????

So, since I returned the computer to the store.......I lost my stuff, but Magix very sweetly enabled my sounds for a week for download.....Thank You Magix....I love you guys.....:)

IF you bought your new computer and the MM program at the same time, I would think that MAgix will ask for some sort of verification of your difficulty and would then allow yu to download yur sounds....if, on the other hand, you had tahe MM program for some time, they may say "no" because each download of a MM prograam is unique to that computer, otherwise people would download bootleg copies all the time....yeah, I know, they do it now.  I have found Magix to be fairly flexible, they don't want to lose a customer.  If you get your sounds back,  place them in a separate folder and make up a backup USB dongle gizmo....that way, you will always  ahve them.  Good luck

No I did not buy the Computer with MM, I purchased it offline  December 29,2012.....since my old version would not install on the new computer. I had the Computer for 1 week, and while transferring data to an external hard drive the NEW computer had a melt down. I thought all of my files had been backed, however I went to use my Music maker today, and realized that my 1000 sounds were no longer there to open previously made works. So I went to install them, I only bought the program late December, and only installed the 1000 sounds on January 10, 2013. So I am a bit ticked that I am locked off of them already, but I see they only give two weeks, so I am a couple days past that. Now it looks like I will have to Pay for something I just paid for. And yes, I usually back my programs and add on files to external hard drives, just for this reason, but I had no idea that a Brand New computer to melt down the way this one did. It went back to the retailer. Now I just need to get all of my programs working properly and with all of their capabilities.

Hi,

The files should still be on your old computer unless you wiped your hard drive and even then it may well still be there.  They would be a combination of .ogg and .tak files and located usually in the following path

The acual files are in a number of different sub directories at this location.

Not knowing the state you are presently in,  if its still "broke" I would go back to where you bought the new computer and ask that they reimburse yo for the Magix program thaat their computer trashed....barring that, I would still go back to Magix and tell them its just been 2 days !!!! gimme a break.  I would like to think that Magix wants a happy customer.  Tell them you're going over to Steinbergs Sequel program if they give you a bad time
