Hi

Assuming Movie Edit Pro (MEP) is the 2016 version - using Windows Explorer locate the videodeluxe.ini file in the following location

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Videodeluxe22_premium\

and delete it.

Start MEP - the file will be recreated.

Note:

  1. username is the name you logon on to the computer with.
  2. If your MEP is not the 2016 version then the folder name will be Videodeluxennpremium - where nn = a 2 digit number
  3. the AppData folder may be hidden - you need to turn on Show hidden files, folders or drives in Windows Explorer

Hi

. . . . MAGIX Video deluxe Plus (V16.0.2.49) . . . .

Thanks for the error log - this tells me you actually have Movie Edit Pro 2017 and are missing several patches the last version was 16.0.4.119.

Try repairing the installation by running the program installer again, if you do not have it you can get it from here - login using the email address and password you registered the software with, then select My Products - this will take you to your registered products and downloads.

If that fails then un-install the program, delete any folders / files left behind relating to affected program that you find in the following folders:

  • c:\Program files\Magix\ affected program
  • c:\Program files (x86)\Magix\ affected program
  • c:\ProgramData\Magix\ affected program  -  this is a hidden file so you may need to set Windows Explorer to show Hidden files.

affected program = the name of your version of Movie Edit Pro

Then re-install and patch up to date.
