Burning Blu-Ray "errNo 5 - encoding failed"

Iris-Willis wrote on 2/7/2022, 1:20 PM

I am having error messages during Blu-Ray burning using Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus 2022.

I looked around the forum and found someone else was having the same error code as me (noted in subject line), but now I can not find that post nor the back and forth dialog that went with it. I recall that the error was due to a glitch in the software but I can't for the life of me find that work around (in that post).

@Iris-Willis

Hi

Error no -5 usually means:

  1. An image, video or audio object on the timeline, is causing an issue.

    Try exporting the project to an AVCHD format file and note the Movie time in the export dialog when it crashes - if it does - this will tell you where on the timeline the issue is.

  2. A modified the disc menu template is causing the issue

    Try a test burn using the Image recorder option to create a disc ISO image file, and use the Red Smoke  menu template - I have found this is the most stable template.
