Can I burn a DVD without having to have the Menu? I would just like the movie to start. My blu-ray will not let me go beyond the welcome menu screen, I cant click on the menu to play or go forward.

Yes, you should be able to. When you go to the Burn DVD menu screen, click on the  Edit button at the top left, and then uncheck the movie box directly underneath this, under Navigation. You will get a warning. Accept it. Click on Preview, and then the Burn button at the right hand side. This should allow you to create a BD or DVD with no menu.

Hi

@ John CB

. . . . click on the  Edit button at the top left, and then uncheck the movie box directly underneath this, under Navigation. You will get a warning. Accept it. . . . .

The error message is

If you accept this there will be no movie on the disc - in fact my MEP 2015 crashes tring to do this.

To create a DVD or BD  with no menu you remove the check marks from the Film Menu and Chapter menu options on the right of the Edit screen as shown below.

This will create a DVD or BD with no menu that auto plays

@John EB,

Thanks for this. I remember that it was discussed previously but I couldn't find it easily. I'll add this to my notepad. I've never tried it; I always want a menu of some kind.

Thanks guys, I did the edit and uncheck bit and it worked perfectly.  Film played from the start without that pesky intro menu that messed me up.   I appreciate your time and sage advice.
