Can I easily convert "takes" to "mp4s"?

Hi, I am using the "scene recognition" feature to split a long clip into each individual shots. Works great, finds each shot very well.

I end up with multiple clips which I have saved as "takes" using the "save all scenes as takes" checkbox in the "scene recognition" dialog - which leaves me with multiple .tk2 files in the magix "takes" folder. I have 80 or so!

Now for my question - can I easily convert these .tk2 files into .mp4 files in one go?

I looked for an easy solution but couldn't find one, so I individually imported each take into MEP and exported them. Very fiddly!!

So I'm asking if there is a  simple way of converting all these takes automatically to mp4s (or any other video format).
Thanks for your help!

Hi

. . . . . can I easily convert these .tk2 files into .mp4 files in one go . . . .

You actually do not need to convert the take files to mp4 there is an alternative method which is quicker, however it does depend on 3 conditions:

  1. You are using MEP 2017 or later

  2. Scene recognition is set to cut the long movie clip at the scene changes

  3. Only the long movie is on the timeline and on track 1.

If these conditions are met then :

  1. once recognition has completed and the take files saved, close the Scene recognition dialog

  2. Select File, Batch conversion

  3. Select Objects in Movie

  4. Select the output format you want and save location 1, 2 and 3 shown below

  5. Click Start processing

John, that is BRILLIANT!!! Just what I was looking for - thank you!! Yes, all conditions above are met, I have MEP premium 2019. Thanks for your time and effort explaining the batch conversion feature.

This will save me A LOT of time. I am a BIG fan of MEP, there are lots of features on it that I haven't seen on other more expensive NLEs . And nowhere such a large learning curve as Vegas.
