Can I use Magix Music Maker 17 to put together commercial audio clips if I don't use Soundpool 17 files or any of the demos that come with the program?

It's  my understanding by reading the post in here that to create music using the soundspool 17 or later files , or the demos that come with Magix 17 that I might like to try to sell,  I would have to purchase a commercial license for 199.00.  Well that's out of the question since I'm a beginner at this and don't even know if I'll ever be able to sell anything.  I bought the program because I'd read reviews where you could use the files Royalty free.  Nowhere did it say when I was researching the program that the latest version would be different from all previous versions in that you can't use their files for anything more then personal use.  I sure wish I'd known that before I bought the program.

So I'm looking at buying soundspools from previous editions, and was wondering if I could still use 17 to put songs together using my own sounds and previous soundspool editions, and also if I could use the new instruments in 17 to compose my own music and tape it.

Please let me know.  Thanks much!

Yes.  The copyright issues apply to the MM-17 soundpool only.  It in no way affects your ability to use the program, or earlier soundpool releases, for personal, public, or commercial purposes.

Thanks!  So are the Instruments able to be used for commercial song writing or are the part of Soundpool 17, do you know?

As I said below...there are NO limitations on using the program or the instruments...ONLY on soundpool 17 (and 18, and 19,...) provided you haven't purchased the Audio Pro Unlimited license.

Thanks Procyon.  If I find I'm good at this, good enough to make some money at it, I'll have no problem justifying buying the license.  On the flip side, I might also find I'm pretty awful at it, in which case I'd rather save my 200.00 for something else.

I just uploaded my first video with music on YouTube.  I did use some of the loops on Soundpool 17, but hopefully, since this is a trubute to storm victims and not to resell it's ok to use this way.

It's at:

Hopefully this week I'll get the earlier license free / royalty free "Best Of" Soundpool I ordered and will then get to work creating some short songs that might appeal to users of Pond5.com and other Video stock sites.

Thanks again...I sure do want to be sure not to break any copyright laws.

Hi

I've just got back into using Magix Music Maker, have lots of older soundpools. So I brought Music Maker17 to make some music for video's for my websites an buiness to put on YouTube.

So have I read it right that I can use MusicMaker 17, to use the software an loops on there for my video's? or would it be better to buy Music Maker 16 and any soundpools up to soundpool 16? So I can use the music I make for the video's an not be done for copyright.
