Can't activate despite entering information correctly

I am trying to activate Vegas Movie Studio 16 on a new computer. I am entering information correctly based on the purchase email serial number but can't get past a screen that says the number is invalid or may pertain to another product. Help!

We are trying to get Vegas users to post in the correct form - did you see the post at the top of video forum?

Error code is -14 - generally means that you're putting a valid MAGIX serial number into the wrong MAGIX product or version/edition.

This topic will be closed, however if you could PM me with a response to my question it would help us understand why Vegas users are posting here.
